Hiboy P7

First off, I LOVE this bike. It is well built, fast and truly beautiful. It came almost assembled out of the box, only had to install the front wheel, handle bar, pedals and headlight. Why this bike is awesome: Fast, Beautiful, Gears change so cleanly, Brakes seem strong, The controls are easy to use, Not too heavy for an E-Bike, rideable even without the motor, the battery seems to last a long as advertised, the tires are big and able to handle off road trails if necessary. It is an amazing value for $899. The few things I don’t like so far: The seat is way too hard for a “Commuter” type Bike. The speedometer works intermittently… seems to stop working when at speeds over 16 mph, the included charger takes six hours to fully charge the battery from zero. UPDATE: Speedo works fine. I guess it just needed to work itself out. I bought a new seat and the comfort issue is resolved. Top Speed is 21.7 MPH full throttle with pedal power included. Using the included Speedo, as well as my iPhone speedometer, 21.7 is top speed friends. Your legs can’t pedal any faster with the gear ratios offered and the motor seems to just hit a wall at that speed. There is power to spare don’t get me wrong, but you just don’t get that magic 25 mph under normal circumstances. Now in perfect conditions: Full throttle, downhill with the wind at your back, yeah this bike hits the advertised 25 MPH and then some. But you won’t be cruising the City at the rated top speed. Not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind. All in all, I love this bike. I just took it for a 16 mile round trip up to our local National Park and made the video at that beautiful local. Since I can’t drive a car, I had not been able to visit the Park for over ten years. This bike cruised up the hill, I pedaled a bit to help on the steeper hills but it was an awesome ride and it got a lot of looks from the people at the park. Get this bike at $899 and you have stolen it. It is so well built and worth so much more. Thanks for reading, friends.

I bought this bike for my 16 year old son and he loves it. I even got to ride it for a while today and I’m 6’5” tall and weigh 300lbs. The bike’s performance was just as good with my big heavy body on it. The overall quality looks to be as good as any of the other bikes I own. He was jumping it to flat landings, so it’s tough, It also hauls a$$. I’m also impressed with the battery life. We went for a 10 mile trail ride. The first half mile is all uphill and he just used the throttle (didn’t even peddle) this bike carried him right up the hill with no issues. We rode for 10 miles in the mountains and when we got back the bike had only used up 1 bar of power. It’s also light weight. We both were blown away by how light it was. I’m considering getting one for myself.

From the very start, the poor quality was evident. The handlebar was not tightened to the fork so the first ride became dangerous when I tried to turn right and the handlebar turned but not the front wheel. Nothing in the short setup manual indicated a bolt that needed to be tightened. Contacting support requires waiting overnight because they are located in China. There is no US support as is implied. My second issue came after a couple weeks of riding. The power on/off button became sticky and would not work without a lot of effort. Another request to support as made about three days before the 30 day return window closed. They acknowledged my video below and agreed to send a new module. I believed that they would and decided not to return the bike. Two weeks later and they say that they haven’t sent it yet but will let me know when they get around to it. Nothing after that. Just ghosted. EDIT:: When I went to charge the bike for the second time I found that the charger was not working. The green charging light flashes every two seconds now. Budget for having to purchase a new charger.

Hiboy has the best customer service I have encountered!! When we got the bike the horn and light did not work, so they sent a new light and horn but that didn’t work either so they did a little more research and figured out it was the assembly line and sent us that part. It now works and we are very happy. They even emailed checking if it worked or part arrived etc. wonderful!

They will not help me Wach the video. If the Bick is fixed i will take it down NO warranty

Hi there, I bought my hiboy P7 about a month ago and it is a great ride. The bike is very well made and was easy to put together. I ride about 12mi a day every day and am pleased with how this bike holds up. Good breaks and power. I did have a throttle (E8) problem, but the customer support mailed a new one and the error E8 is gone. I will see how it works tomorrow. I would like to emphasize hiboy is very well made.

Worst bike I have ever bought power shuts off while running sends error codes and both tires go flat never had such a experience POS in my life

The brakes are built for a regular bike not the extra weight and speed of an e bike. This bike shuts down if the temperature is above 80 degrees. You will be lucky to get 20 miles out of a charge.

I was disappointed after my effort to put the bike together. I was able to follow the instructions and proud I was able to do it on my own. Then before my first ride I take the warning stickers off. They left goo on the bike that I’m not sure I will be able to get off and the one right where you see while riding pulled the paint off. I contacted hiboy for a paint touch up. They told me they don’t have touch up paint and to just ignore the paint chip. I’m within my 30 day return cycle and advised them of such they asked me to prove it. Which I did thinking they were going to help. But they just told me to search Amazon for a paint to match. When you spend this much on a bike you should get a better response than that. I had suggested a discount or a bike attachment as compensation but nothing just search Amazon for paint. In will never be able to find the right paint. Do better hiboy you took the excitement away from me for my bike.

I had high hopes for this bike, but unfortunately, I've run into several quality control problems with the non-electric components. On the bright side, the electric system works flawlessly — the motor provides solid power, the battery quality is reliable with excellent life, and the sensors for both pedal assist and the accelerator function as expected. No complaints there. However, the overall build quality is disappointing. One of my pedals came off on the second ride due to ruined threading. I somehow managed to fix that, but now the brakes keep loosening up every few days. Today, they failed mid-ride, almost causing me to crash. I cannot recommend Hiboy due to the lack of quality control on critical parts, especially ones that affect rider safety. This is unacceptable for a product in this price range.

Ordered this bike just on time for winter. I did get to try it before the snow started to fly. This relatively light weight considering its rugged frame. It’s was easy to assemble (minimum assembly required). All necessary tools included. It is quick and fast. I had it up to 45 km/hr and there appeared to be lots of juice left to go faster. I will spend a few more dollars on it to customize it with accessories as there is no extra included. I sure like look forward to spring so I can get out on it and enjoy it. I may post another review in the spring once I get to ride it more. I recommend this bike.

The runs good. It has decent power, range and comfort. Sadly my unit has come with a defective headlight. Horn is working but not the light. I had reached out the seller/hiboy about this issue and asked for a repair or replacement headlight. Waiting for them to respond. Will update once I hear back.
