There is NO support
Solar LED lights up. Turning on causes the RUN to light up and L to flash. L flashes for a bit then goes out. RUN goes very dim. If I unplug motors or sensors, it seems to stay on. There are no battery status LEDs lit. Either the battery is completely dead, or the arduino program is corrupted. Emailed support video and photos of above. Got a reply they will have R&D check issue. I followed up a week later asking for an update. Another week with no response.

Great, but wouldn't buy from them again
Instructions where easy to follow, but one of the photosensirs that came with it was soldered incorrectly. The positive and negative ends where connected causing a short circuit, and because of that I spent 2 days trying to figure out why my computer couldn't communicate with the board.

Fantastic STEM educational kit and experimentation platform
This is a fantastic kit. Everything is clearly packaged and labeled. The quality of the components is very good. The included instruction manual gives enough info to assemble but if you scan the QR code you can download a 52 page PDF with far more detailed instructions. The best part of the PDF is that it includes explanations of what things are, what they do, and how they work. There are also little experiments that it guides you through and little quizzes. There's also a QR code in the instruction manual to download an offline editor for the arduino This can be used with Windows, Mac, in Chrome, or via a Mobile app. Fantastic. They really thought of everything. It says suitable for all ages but I think it's probably most appropriate for ages 10 and up, perhaps younger if you're guiding the child through it. This is such a multifaceted kit and touches on so many different STEM topics. It's incredibly well thought out and it truly is something that kids of any age can enjoy and learn something from. This is truly a great and fun way to learn. The 18650 battery

Nice and simple and works well, after a software tweak.
It looks like the horizontal servo handler may need to consider whether the vertical servo is above or below 90 degrees. Otherwise the horizontal servo can rotate in the wrong direction. Also, here was some binding on the upper servo hinge. I had to add a couple of washers.

Interesting. But Just couldn’t get it working super well.
Idk. It was alright to assemble. No issues there. The electronics seem pretty good. But the software and instructions were very bad-Chinese-translation-y. Not for absolute beginners. Recommend some experience with arduino stuff or you might be lost. Good value for the parts, and it did have everything in it- including the rechargeable battery. Wasnt the worst chinese electronics kit we have ordered here so far. But We never seemed to get it running right despite being pretty confident we loaded the programming correctly, after several attempts. Seemed like a simple issue of very rudimentary programming or sensor issues. Was still interesting and the parts are still useful for other stuff.

Stem sun tracking solar panel
So this is a neat little set it includes everything nessacary to build your own mini sun tracking solar panel which is a good way to learn the basics on how a bigger system operates since its pretty much the same jus on a bigger scale. The build quality is good an instructions are understandable an if properly built will effectively move itself tracking the sun's movement. This is not to hard to assemble but I'd recommend that you at least have some basic knowledge of electronics or building things but as long as u follow the instructions an take your time u could effectively build this an learn alot doin so . I think it's a good value for the money since if u purchased all the components separately it would cost much more. So overall I think this is a great way to learn or enhance anyone's electronic /building knowledge an give you a nice sense of accomplishment once completed an giving you a functional solar sun tracker capable of charging small devices such as cell phones

Neat project, wood hinges a bit rough moving
Put this together with my teenage son and it was straightforward and simple. Wooden pieces pop out clean, even has some spare parts. The one area that could be improved is the hinging for vertical, it's a bot rough even when using the Nyloc nut and leaving is loose. Other than that I like it, educational and useful.

Super fun arduino kit that can be hacked to do even more.
First off, this is a well stocked kit with a reasonable amount of parts and good, challenging skill level. This kit is a good mix of physical assembly, easy safe circuit building, hardware programming and software configuration. For nerds like me, this is a rewarding experience. On top of that, there is a lot of interesting opportunity here to expand this into larger applications. Indeed, I purchased this to explore how to build a bigger controller for larger scale solar panels to control relays and larger sized servos. I had been contemplating how to build one from scratch or from an old Instructables but this kit is a wonderful starting point.
