PME Food Colour Liquid - Violet (25ml)

I bought this to make my buttercreams look paler and as white as possible. The colour is gorgeous and it made my buttercream go from yellow to white after adding a few drops so I still have a lot of the product left. Truly recommended. I still need to try it and check if I could get other results if I want to make any kind of batter or food in a stronger or darker purple colour. Price is really good too.

A very pretty, pastel shade of violet. Its made with a combination of Cochineal E120, and Brilliant Blue E133, all in a glycerine base. I've enclosed a photo (please try not to laugh at my attempt at piping). This was 8 drops to approx 1/2 pint of icing. Always add a few drops, mix in, and then add more to achieve your desired colour. The only slight negative I have, is that it's quite difficult to actually get the drops out. It took a fair few shakes to get them to appear. Still, better too few than a major splurge. I've bought some other colours as well now, and they've all been very good. Good colour liquid . The more you add the darker the colour.

Hard to get out of the bottle but the colour is lovely.

I used this to add some colour to my violet fondants - a lovely product and as far as I can tell, you would have to use all the bottle to 'overdo' the colouring. Will be using this again.

Used to make purple lemonade and colour was great. Comes out slowly so you can get the right colour.

If you want a strong purple colour this isn’t for you but if you want lilac it’s great! I aimed for lilac anyway so did the job for me!
