The battery and motor are not up to the job
I wanted to avoid the mess and pollution of a petrol mower and use a battery mower that could cut well and leave stripes. I bought this less than 1yr ago, having held out for Webb to make this mower available following the pandemic. Upon delivery it was easy to put together, and the first cut was promising, good stripes, mower is heavy which helps with that, however the battery only just finished the rear lawn (~35 mins). As of now, the battery won’t last much beyond 20 mins, and any length to the grass cause the motor to struggle which of course drains the battery faster. I’m now considering selling it. I contacted support who told me the claimed 35 min battery capacity is when the motor is under no load, actually cutting grass is expected to reduce this to ~20 mins, so it’s fine according to Handy. This is misleading information on the performance in my opinion. An additional battery is ~£200, so that a not a viable solution having spent £500 already. Whilst the build quality of the mower seems great, the size and features vs capacity and performance is odd. I’m very disappointed. It only seems good for smaller lawns, which seems overkill for its size and weight. Save yourself the hassle and get the petrol version if you want this size of mower.

Pretty but cumbersome
What a useless piece of expensive kit. The battery requires recharging half way through my lawn mowing which is certainly not extensive. It does not last for 35 minutes after a full charge but is out of charge after 20 minutes. To get a decent cut, the height lever has to be set at the lowest or second lowest setting. What the other higher settings are for beats me, possibly for a cut to leave 6 inches of grass . Do not repeat my mistake and steer clear of this machine.

Solid Construction
The mower is all metal and well-engineered. It should last a lifetime. It is however heavier than my previous (plastic) mower and needs more effort to push. It is better suited to rectangular lawns with straight and flat runs, being harder to manouver round curves and corners. With the extra weight, the large rear roller will smooth out worm casts and lumps. I'm not sure how long the fabric grass collector will last.

Quality mower...but it is heavy
It was very easy to assemble and has quality written all over it. Far superior to the usual plastic mowers on the market with great build quality. It is a large, heavy mower and is obviously not as manoeuvreable as It’s competitors but I knew that. The rear roller combined with the weight gives great stripes which was what I wanted. The battery life is excellent and it’s fairly quick to charge. The key is an added safety feature.Overall an excellent mower but it is heavy.

Built to last
Build quality is superb vs the plastic competition in the battery operated (cordless) lawnmower market.

Solid Mower, but….
Ok, so I have bought this and just had it delivered today. Charged up battery and took her out for a spin. First impressions are good. I previously owned a Bosch cordless 410 Ergoflex. This feels more like a proper lawnmower and doesnt have the "toy" feel of the Bosch ( which had intermittent starting problems so was ditched) Solid and well built feel to it. Ran it over my grass and set it high just to get the feel of it. Took me about 20 mins and battery charge went down from 4 lights to 3 so pretty of charge left if I had needed it. Put the battery back onto charge and it was fully ready on 4 lights again in 15 minutes. Couple of minor downsides, bits of grass flying out between the bag and body of mower, more than you would expect. Also it leaves nice stripes but the big front wheels leave their track which spoils the look a bit. But I'm happy enough so far. If needed I will update the review during the summer when it gets a bit of use. Would recommend as better than the Bosch. Note... Didnt purchase thru AmazonEDIT: so after 4 years of ownership i thought i would update my review. Basically i loved using the lawnmower. It cut well, left good stripes, was easy to clean. And as i said in my initial review it looks and feels like a real lawnmower. I cant find fault with the mower in general apart from one thing. Yes, the battery. Up until the end of the cutting season last year i noticed the mower was running out of juice if i decided to double cut. Then first cut this year the battery died about halfway through my lawn. I havent replaced it yet as the price made my eyes water a bit (£195). That in itself is bad enough but at the time of writing this none are available anywhere. Personally i dont think under 4 years is good enough, especially at the price. And bear in mind its only used about 6 months. Love the mower but not sure whether to replace battery or move on to something else

Robust but manageable
The mower is definitely robust and hard-wearing. Roller could be a little longer, and motorised drive would make things a little easier, but probably reduce the battery life and blade power. I regard pushing the mower as part of my exercise routine!
