Impressive Clarity & Great for Everyday Use
I’ve been using the Core 500 Digital Stethoscope for a little while now, and it has definitely exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is incredibly clear—far better than my traditional stethoscope. Being able to amplify heart and lung sounds makes assessments faster and more accurate, especially in noisy environments. The digital display is simple and intuitive, and the overall build feels solid and professional. I really appreciate the ability to replay sounds; it’s a game changer when double-checking findings or discussing cases with coworkers. Battery life has held up well, and it charges quickly. If you’re looking to upgrade or want a reliable stethoscope that gives you an edge with digital features, the Core 500 is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend for EMS, nursing, and medical professionals who want the best tools possible.

Best stethoscope on the market!
Absolutely love this stethoscope. I cannot recommend it any higher! I’ve been in the medical field for 25+ years, and I’ve always had difficulty hearing with a stethoscope to discern the various lung sounds and heart murmurs. This stethoscope muffles out any environmental noise and allows me to hear with such precision, that I can hear the tiniest, faint crackle or wheeze. Every coworker that’s expressed interest in it, I’ve handed it to them told them to go use it on a patient, and they come back in awe. It is well worth the price, in buying it through Amazon you can do longer payment plans if it’s not in the budget as a solid payment. I highly recommend it. I rarely use the Eko app, but the ability to record the EKG tracing in real time is amazing.

Love my Eco!!
Bought this as a gift for graduating with my APRN. Looks very professional. I always struggled with being able to hear clearly with stethoscopes, love that I can turn up the sound and really hear and identify sounds clearly. I can easily hear murmurs I could never identify with my Littman. Love that you can toggle inbetween lung, heart or both. I use wide mostly unless I need a more clear sound from a specific area. Haven’t played must with the EKG features. Would buy again. Worth the prices. Well made. Lasts about a week consistent use before needing charging. Fast charges.

An incredible tool for nurses
This tool has made my transition from nursing student to RN much more fruitful. It is an incredible tool to use that really enabled me to hear clearly as I went from a novice student to RN. It appears to be extremely well made and durable. I highly recommend this steth for those struggling to identify lung sounds / heart sounds.

great if not close to perfect stethoscope
surprising the level of details this thing will bring out. I personally still prefer the master cardiology for fine detail, but this is truly excellent even without perfect technique on physical exam. The ekg feature is somewhat of a gimmick, maybe 1/100 patients pick up a flutter rather than sinus etc. but the clarity and filtering is pretty spectacular.

Quick, easy-to-use, and efficient
I am a medical student with graduate-level experience in signal processing. An early academic project of mine involved work on a portable ECG device, so I have a general understanding of the core ideas and challenges that come with designing such a device. I own a KardiaMobile portable 6L EKG device and a Littmann stethoscope with a tunable diaphragm which provide great points of comparison. My overall experience with this stethoscope is quite positive. I can see it being an useful learning tool as well, saving example EKG AND PCG recordings (simultaneously!!) of heart conditions as I observe them in the clinic. The EKG feature is easy to use, and finds a signal quite quickly (even faster than my KardiaMobile device). While it finds a signal super quick, it'd be nice to have some translation of the 3 plotted leads to the standard EKG leads found on a regular hospital system-- right now it requires some user interpretation. As far as the acoustics on this stethoscope go, it's handy to have the amplification, and I could see how it might help some clinicians with mild hearing loss. The noise-cancelling feature is also handy, reducing some of the artifactual noise you pick up with stethoscopes like the standard Littmann. HOWEVER, I find that turning the noise-cancelling can sometimes help pick up some of the higher-frequency sounds (the pulmonary setting also helps with this). Also, (nitpicking here) I've noticed the diaphragm paired with the Eko signal processing seems to be a bit different than I'm used to with the Littmann, especially on the cardio setting. Higher pressure on the Littmann emphasizes the higher frequency sounds, but on the Eko, it oddly seems to emphasize the lower frequency sounds. Also, sometimes the pressure optimal for clean EKG is not optimal for listening (in some cases). So it might require a little playing around and getting used to. Also, when using the stethoscope head paired with Bluetooth instead of the wired earpiece, there's a slight delay in the connection which is noticeable but at the end of the day is probably not a big deal, and could just be my earbuds. It is still pretty cool to be able to keep the head in my bag or pocket without the earpiece in case I see something interesting I want to record (and its fairly easy to tell on the app whether the acoustic/electric signal quality is good, even without listening). Overall, it's been both super educational and fun working with this stethoscope, and I look forward to using it more!

Add a tool to your toolbox
This is definitely an added tool that I didn't know I would be able to utilize in so many different ways. I work full-time fire and ems and this guy is top tier. Idk about the agencies you work for but we have issues with our electrodes drying out and not reading properly or those patients you get that are incredibly sweaty no matter how many times you wipe them off with a towel the electrodes just won't stick or stay on. This stethoscope has aided in both of those occurrences many times. Yes it is very pricey but I would purchase it again. The battery life is way better than I expected. Functionally all the buttons work perfectly haven't had any issues with sticking or getting gunked up. Durability is better than expected as well. Wish their were more color options.

Purchased for my daughter who is studying veterinary medicine. Connects seamlessly to her cochlear implants and enables her to hear the same as other students who don’t have a hearing loss. Bought in the standard colour which was the only one available which is lovely but would have loved an opportunity to be able to purchase the blue one but that is purely personal choice and cosmetic! Would be lovely to be able to purchase some of the accessories as would have loved the case to keep it safe. Great visual display. Love love love it!

I read about the CORE 500 and having used an electronic stethoscope for over 20 years, I was keen to try it. It is quite simply the best stethoscope I have ever owned. The sound is crystal clear and is wonderful for detecting murmurs, chest sounds, bruits, etc. The heart rate and ECG is a bonus. I don't subscribe to EKO Plus for AI interpretation as it's too expensive and I am happy to trust my many years of experience, but I can well imagine it being useful to doctors at an earlier stage in their career.
