Works great with Crayola Air Dry Clay! This is my first time throwing pottery on a wheel so from a beginner view this worked very well for me. The only issues I had were due to my own inexperience in centering the clay on the wheel which is not the wheel’s fault. I used air dry clay from crayola and it worked well. There is a helpful review of this wheel on youtube by an experience potter and she gave it a good review and some helpful hints on working with the air dry clay. I would highly recommend this wheel because it worked well for the price point and came with all the accessories you will need including air dry clay, tools, paint/brushes, water bowl and clay cutters/tools. Throwing clay on a wheel has a learning curve and this wheel is a budget friendly way to see if you are going to enjoy this craft.

Good size, easy to use for beginners, easy to clean, good quality for its price. Things I’ve done with it. The only thing I was change is maybe the clay it comes with.

Broke after 1st use. I used the pottery wheel to make 2 minature incense holders. Then when I tried to start another project a few weeks later- the wheel and gears do not start or move. Power is going into the system but nothing is working.

I’ve been wanting to try pottery for ages, and this little wheel was the perfect way to finally start. The kit came with everything necessary yet simple and nothing overly overwhelming. The setup was simple, the storage design keeps my space from getting cluttered, and the clay included was easy enough for a total beginner like me. The wheel isn’t huge, so you’re not making giant vases, but for learning the basics (and having fun), it’s just right. So far it’s been great :) I’ll update if anything changes with more use.

Great product, but one package of clay that came with it was damaged and dried out.

My daughter really wanted a pottery wheel. I wasn’t sure which one to choose so that it wouldn’t be too expensive but still good quality and not just a toy. This one is actually pretty good for its price. The set includes everything you need to get started. Thanks to the protective splash guard around the wheel, the clay doesn’t splatter which is very convenient. My daughter was able to start making something from the very first try.
