The design is not smart. The holder needs to be screwed to the base, but it becomes lose after a few uses, so one needs to screw it tight again. Problem is, the screw is at the bottom, inside the base itself, which is covered with a piece of plastic that sticks to it. So, one needs to remove that plastic each time one needs to screw the holder, and after few times the plastic won't stick anymore. It looks good, though, so if you don't mind the hassle....But instead of returning it I will buy some cement to fix it permanently and keep it. To be fair, there are probably many (if not most) holders being sold here in Amazon that has the same problem and you will only find out after purchasing it. So, i hope this opens your eye before clicking the "place the order" button.

I bought this item specifically for its weighted base. We have purchased a new RV and this was the perfect solution to using paper towels without having to chase the roll all over the trailer. We pick it up soon but it packed and ready to go.

Overall, this is a good weight & nice, stylish clean design. The only problem I had with it is that it came with a round-head screw to attach at the bottom. Unfortunately, even when I put the cover on it, the screw was sticking out and prevented the bottom from sitting flat. Rather than return it, I took the screw to the hardware store and bought a flat-head screw of the same size and it solved the problem. I'm actually going to use it to make a pineapple palm tree appetizer centerpiece so the fact the head pops off is perfect to insert pvc pipe for taller or shorter trees.

Exactly what I was looking for and ordered. No assembly instructions but easy enough to figure it out. It set up completely vertical and I can tear paper towels off single handedly - weighted base works well.

The only thing I didn’t think of before buying this is there’s no like catch thing that keeps her paper towels from unraveling it would be nice if there was something that came up from the side but so far my paper towels haven’t come unraveled or anything and it serves it’s purpose and it was easy to put together and looks decent. From the looks of it probably the best paper towel holder you can buy on Amazon there wasn’t much selection.

Just what I ordered! Weighted bottom helps me to tear off towels as needed without tipping over. Takes up same amount of space as previous holder, so doesn't use up any extra counter space.

It does NOT come put together, as the ad implies. There are four pieces. Took me a while to figure it out. Simple instructions should have been included. I do NOT need any additional frustrations with all the other things I am putting together as a result of a move to take care of my 89 yr old mom.

Loved this!!! Good quality and it does stand up to the rolling of the paper towels which was something I was concerned about when I ordered this. Worth the money!!!
