excellent - except for the annoying auto-power-off - which CAN be disabled
PROS: excellent accuracy, 4 digits, lots of functions, long battery life CON: The auto-power-off feature is annoying. I now have 3 of these and have had the oldest for about 4 years. The accuracy is excellent for a meter this affordable. But, after 14 minutes, it beeps. You have to press a button to "extend" the time. After 1 more minute, it beeps again and will power off. I monitor things frequently for an hour or more, so this is annoying. You CAN disable the auto-power-off by holding the SEL/HOLD button down while you power on the meter... It doesn't shut off, but it still beeps. This is so annoying I removed the beeper on 2 of them. When I need the continuity testing function I use the 3rd one :-) It's not a permanent setting, so the next time you power it on, again you have to hold the SEL/HOLD down. The batteries last a LONG time so why is the auto-power-off time so short? Overall, excellent little meter.

Awesome Meter. Glad I paid a few extra bucks.
I wanted a cheap pocket size meter to use when my Fluke wasn't necessary. Settled on this one. It was more expensive than the really cheap ones, but you get what you pay for. Almost as fast to settle and almost as accurate as my Fluke. Not a replacement for a Fluke but close enough when real speed and accuracy don't matter. The display is Large and Bright when the Backlight is on. The probes seem to be higher quality than the ones that come with the cheapest Meters. The Temperature Probe Works fine. At the end of the day, I'm very happy that I paid a few extra bucks to get this Meter.

Works well, with different probes
So far I like it... but I will say straight away, buy new probes. The probes it comes with are complete garbage. Both sets it comes with are horrible. When doing continuity testing, if you just touch the two probes together and move them the readings go all over the place and they lose connection. I thought at first it was a broken wire in one of them, but no I think it has something to do with the plating on the probes themselves. I'm not entirely sure. I am entirely sure the probes are garbage though. Other than that, it's a nice cheap little multimeter.

did not worth the price
I think it needs calibration

Nice meter for the price - working well. Seems accurate enough. Good feature set.
I have been impressed so far with this little meter. Seems to be pretty accurate and has a decent range of features that cover the basics I wanted it for very well. Decent selection of probes and gator clips. One small thing is that the stand doesn't hold it up at an angle in as sturdy a way as I would like - tends to fall back flat.

Resistance (ohm/continuity) function does not work.
Per instructions, selected resistance mode and pushed the select button once to toggle to continuity function. Touching the 2 leads together resulted in random numbers flashing on the screen for a few seconds before the screen displays "O.L". Either the meter or the leads (or both) are defective. The unit does not come with batteries and getting the battery cover back on is a bit of a hassle. For almost $40, I was disappointed with the overall build quality of this meter. Sending it back to try a different meter. Since it didn't work, I probably should have given it one star, but I'm feeling generous today.

Great performance in a small form factor
This replaces a 20-year-old Radio Shack multimeter. It is really surprising that I could get a high-counting meter this size that has so many features -- and a readable display all at an affordable price.

Nice multimeter
Aneng AN8009 is a good piece of test equipment. Accurate, reliable & easy to use. Also has NCV Non-Contact Voltage setting for live wire testing AN8008 does to have NCV it has a signal generator instead. I use both. I can definitely recommend Aneng equipment, too bad we don’t make these in USA.
