Perfect for my needs
I'm using this as a cash drop box when I sell low-value items that I set outside for pickup. The buyer can drop cash in the box without contact. The box is made from heavy gauge metal and has a hinged top to keep water out. The entire front of the box folds down with a key to limit access. While this is not a box I would use in a high-security application, it works to keep honest people honest. The slot is large enough to hold small items like keys or basic mail. There is no divider in this box to keep someone from reaching to the top to pull something out, but in my situation, that's better than cash under the doormat.

this is really nice
my original mailbox is old school and doesn't provide much security when mail is delivered. anyone can go in it, and i live in a town where my mailbox isn't located directly on my property. my neighbor (where my mailbox is) feels entitled to my space and i've been noticing that my mailbox has been left open most days so he could look inside whenever he wants to. So, i'm building a new mailbox stand with this mailbox. the slot is big enough to fit a folded package if needed, but not big enough for you to stick your hand in and pull things out with ease. i do have a slight concern about the seam of the mailbox at the top not being sealed enough to prevent rain, but i think building an encasement around the box itself will help with that issue. the mailbox would screw in the back onto the post, which would be an easy way to mount my box. im very happy with this metal mailbox. i think this is exactly what i needed especially to protect my mail from my nosy, entitled neighbor.

Is exactly what I wanted for my needs
It will easily hold normal sized letters, if you get other than normal sized letters you may want to look into something else, however I wanted it for holding cell phones to lock away you know when kids been bad, etc as you can stick the charger through the mail slot and charge while it's locked up.

Secure, sturdy, and good size for my office
When we moved into this office, we sealed the front door flap to prevent someone throwing something dodgy into our building, and we’ve had a standard flip top mailbox outside the door since that time. Although we’ve not knowingly experienced mail theft, that’s always been a concern. The current mailbox is falling apart so we went looking for a replacement and this fits all our needs:- Professional looking- Sturdy steel construction- Slot that’s big enough for most any non package mail we receive- Lock that gives us piece of mind- 2 keys for 2 people or in case one is misplaced- Mini window to see at a glance whether you need to open itAt just $24.99 at the time of this review, this a great deal for a locking steel mailbox and I would definitely recommend it. Hope this helps you make a decision! Buy it.

Impressive
After years of having an old fashioned rectangular metal mail box, I needed to switch to something less weather beaten and with a working lock. This mail box is good because it's already a dark color, so any dirt doesn't show up. It's in an area that doesn't get any sun so I'm not worried about it heating up or in turn causing things inside to melt (but it is something to consider if you want to put this in a spot where there is a lot of sunshine). The lock is easy to work, just turn and done. And the mail box is large enough that magazines fit neatly inside without getting ripped or twisted into unnatural shapes just to make them fit. And since the mailperson hasn't tried to rip the front door off in lieu of using the mail slot, I think this design works.
