A great general purpose shifter
My sim racing setup is an amalgamation of Fanatec wheelbase and wheel, Thrustmaster load cell pedals, and this shifter. I previously used the Thrustmaster TH8A, which is great if you're looking for an H-pattern and will exclusively use it for that. However, I wanted something that offers sequential shifting and the ability to transition from H-pattern to sequential with the flip of a switch, and the Multi-Shift allows for that. Using the H-pattern actually feels pretty close to a real car: When shifting into gear, there is a slight bit of resistance as you enter a gear, adding that little bit of immersion. It has 7 speeds plus reverse, and features an safety requiring you to push down if you want to enter either seventh or reverse. There is also a button for high/low gears, so it can be used for sim trucking as well. It also shifts right into gear without any delay. I had heard of issues on this shifter of there being a slight bit of lag on shifting, but this appears it was possibly a driver issue, and primarily an issue when directly plugged into Turtle Beach's wheelbase. When plugged directly into the computer, I had no such problems. Sequential shifting is accessed by simply flipping a switch on the right side. I don't have any other sequential shifters to compare it to other than the TH8A in sequential mode. It feels good; definitely not great and snappy, but it does the job. It also feels better than the TH8A's sequential and doesn't require you to remove 4 screws and rotate the unit just to access the mode, so it has that massive advantage. You can also use it as a handbrake, though I definitely feel you should have a dedicated unit for that rather than use this. Build-wise, it's predominately plastic, with the exception of the shaft and the optional included shift knob (and I imagine some of the internals). It's not an all/mostly metal affair like the TH8A, but the Multi-Shift is definitely not a lightweight, so there must be more metal inside. You do have an option of 3 different shaft lengths, depending on your shifter mode or preference. The plastic shifter knob definitely feels cheap, so I leave the metal knob on all the time. It's meant for the sequential shifter/handbrake, but I find it's just find for H-pattern. If you're new to sim racing and want a shifter that's a great H-pattern and good sequential shifter with an easy way to switch between the two, this is hard to beat for the price. If you're only looking for an H-pattern, there are certainly other, cheaper options and I would look there first before considering this, but I would still recommend you check this shifter. Judging by reviews of the other Turtle Beach sim racing products, this is their best effort.

The Ultimate Space‑Saving Sim Racing Setup That Doesn’t Compromise Feel
The VelocityOne Multi‑Shift has been a standout addition to my setup. It’s impressively sturdy, with a satisfying, confident feel when shifting—no missed gears, no wobble. The ability to switch between H‑pattern, sequential, and handbrake modes is a huge bonus and adds real versatility. Paired with the XRhinorth desk mount (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D7BR14LF?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title), the whole system becomes rock‑solid. The mount is surprisingly feature‑rich for the price, and once everything is locked in, the rigidity is only limited by your desk. Best part: it takes me about five minutes to transform my editing station into a full sim‑racing rig. Everything packs away cleanly afterward, so there are zero complaints from my wife. Overall, it’s a smooth, sturdy, and space‑friendly combo that delivers exactly what I hoped for.

New units perfect, old ones flawed, check your firmware version - 1.11 shipped is a new unit.
REVIEW OF THE REPLACEMENT ITEM: I am absolutely convinced that there are multiple revs of this shifter being sold and but that the marketing was not updated. The original unit I got felt great, and came with a version of firmware that was lower than 1.11 (I forgot the number, it may have been 1.09), that unit started having connectivity issues after a couple of weeks, where it would forget what it was, and even the handbrake button would stop responding. There was nothing else wrong with that unit besides the connection problems, but unfortunately, we can't have that in sim racing. Now the replacement that I got, it looks exactly the same, everything about it is exactly the same except that it was already loaded with firmware 1.11, and the feeling of the shifting, especially in sequential mode, feels so much better than the original one. It is hard to explain, the original one felt like a roller bearing riding over something that has a spring behind it, it felt great, but you could tell you were feeling a roller and spring in that system. This new one, they have clearly changed something, it feels like an actual sequential shift, it actually feels smoother than my VW GTI, so whatever they did, it is very very good. I hope this new one holds up. So, what did I learn? If you buy one of these, and you get a unit that is shipped with 1.09, and not 1.11, consider returning it. I am very glad I did. 4 stars because what I have now is a perfect product, but why did I have to get a bad one first? That was clearly a different internal build? That sucks, turtle beach should be more transparent about this kind of thing, the unit is definitely different, maybe someone with time and money to waste can do a comparison teardown? REVIEW OF ORIGINAL ITEM: I like the shifter a lot. It feels great and looks great. I originally gave 5 stars and a great review. Two weeks later, the shifter has these strange disconnects. It doesn't actually disconnect from the PC, it just seems to stop understanding what it is. A power cycle fixes this issue every time. The weird part is that the handbrake button doesn't work either in this state so I think it is an internal failure of some kind that required reboot. Anyway, returning it and getting another, hopefully it is just a bad QC item - if the other has the same issue I will update and go with something else...

Worth the money
A realistic high quality shifter it feels amazing. The sequential feels amazing and stiff. As for the handbrake mode is also good and spot on.

Terrible Product.
If you want a shifter that gives you a 50/50 chance of changing gears, then this is your product. Chasing fast lap times is impossible, as half the time I shift into gear, it just engages neutral, completely ruining my entire lap. This product is highly flawed; the resistance is little to nothing, and for the $100+ price tag that this has, I can't really find the justification to find any good things to recommend anyone purchasing this. You're better off with the Logitech shifter, that toy has more resistance than this.

「githubの、 /hidemune/understeer」 にて公開中です。
