Husband bent to look at flame, sucked his hair and beard in. These stop this from happening. Long hair and Blackstone's are dangerous.

Not for a GEN 1 36" griddle
This is a nice set of wind guards, and the material is fairly thick, and the lovers are nicely punched. Meaning there are no burs anywhere on any of the four (4) guards. They are made from stainless steel and should hold up against the elements here in the northeast corner of New England.Yes, I have a gen 1 griddle and trying to find wind guards for them is difficult. And yes, I know I have the wind guards on wrong as well. But due to the design the magnets are too close to the edge, and I have to put them on upside down because my base is stainless steel…I have tried magnet wind guards in the past. I am a mechanical engineer, and I specialize in thermodynamics. Magnets have what they call a Curie Temperature. Right around 80 degrees Celsius (170 degrees Fahrenheit) the magnet will lose its force and it will become demagnetized. I am hoping because these are only blocking about half of the gap .. that will not allow these to become super-heated.I liked the design of these, and I was really hoping they would fit. Regrettably, when I installed them, I quickly found out they are just not tall enough for the first gen griddles.

These were awful and didn't even for my Blackstone properly. I am unable to use them.

Works Perfectly for Windy Days!

Not full coverage
I have a model 1841 blackstone, and these windguards leave approximately a quarter of an inch of space on the sides. Not fully compatible with this model perhaps. I expect they will still help reduce wind though, as the gap is mostly covered.
