I measured our elongated toilet bowl carefully before ordering (length and bolt spacing), and this Mayfair Caswell seat fit like a glove—no overhang, no gaps, sits flush and stable right out of the box. Installation was super straightforward; it took maybe 5-10 minutes with the included hardware and clear instructions. The hinges really do stay tight-no wiggling or need to retighten after weeks of use. Our old toilet seats were always the cheap plastic ones or enameled wood that started discoloring yellow around the edges within a year or two and eventually cracked from normal wear. This one feels much more durable even though its a lot thinner on first appearance. It's a clean white plastic that wipes down easily and hasn't shown any signs of staining or wear yet after several months. The slow-close feature is my favorite part. We have young kids, and the old seats would slam down hard, risking pinched fingers or just loud bangs that startled everyone. Now it closes gently and quietly with just a light tap—seriously eliminates any slamming. It's actually encouraged me (and the family) to start closing the lid every time because I know it won't crash down. No more loud noises in the middle of the night either! The video is full speed lol- it can be pushed down to go more quickly though! Overall, no complaints at all. Great quality for the price, does exactly what it's supposed to, and it's a noticeable improvement over the generic seats we've had before. Highly recommend if you're tired of loose, noisy, or cracking seats—especially in a household with little ones.

We purchased this in 2019 and it lasted for about 7 years with (quite a bit of use over that time). The price point and ratings at the time were good, and it was made in the USA. It was easy to install and it worked as expected. It recently broke and removing it was a bit challenging because the bolts in the back had corroded a bit. This was not unexpected, but worth noting. Keep in mind the seat was not removable for cleaning, which we were aware of when purchasing. This was probably part of the reason for the corrosion of the bolts. Overall, it was an ok seat.

Make sure you get the correct size—“elongated” fits only elongated toilets, many are not. I made a mistake at first and had to return it, but the return process was simple. Once I got the right one, I loved it! The seat is sturdy, slip-resistant, and the color matches perfectly. It’s easy to clean, and the slow-close feature works smoothly. Overall, very happy with the quality and design.

This is a really good commode seat. Very happy with the material, it is really good. It closes really slow. But, love the automatic lid close. Really easy to put on. I recommend it and it is a great price.

Looks good, Easy to install. Slow close works well. Easy to lift as edge of seat overlaps front edge of bowl a bit, and lid overlaps seat a bit. The only reason I'm returning it is the lid is flimsy - it dents in if you sit on it. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to damage it. If you get dressed in the bathroom and sit on the lid, I wouldn't recommend it.

Well-designed and thoughtful engineering. This seat solved my main issue with other brands....simple, yet sturdy hardware and something to fit the holes in the bowl. Once installed, the fit was great and stayed in place!! We highly recommend this product.

This toilet seat is not suitable for U.K. standard toilet bowel the space between the 2 bolts each end are too narrow and do not fit the holes in the toilet bowel to attach on to

I tend to do a lot of research before I buy anything online and this is the seat I chose. So far I am very happy with it - I have had it just less than 1 week. It may cost a little more than others - but well worth it for the quality. It looks clean and elegant - it has definitely elevated the look of my current commode! The installation instructions included were perfect - no mistakes - very clear diagrams and proper English in the directions. I had the seat easily installed in a jiffy. I did not have to watch a Youtube video. All parts were included, the slow close is just that, and the shipping time was quite quick. I would definitely buy this classy seat again!
