20V MAX XR POWERPACK 8.0 Ah Power Tool Battery (DCB2108)

I purchased this at a substantial savings. But besides that, it has way more reserve than my older 8amp battery, and the rubber accents really help protect it. This battery extends the use of my blower by about 10 minutes over the old one, doesn't get hot and charges up fast. So, function is excellent, price is good, quality is excellent, value is excellent (did I tell you I got it on sale?), can't speak to longevity, but it is name branded. If you need a new 8amp battery, this generation is very good. I recommend this as a buy.

Game-Changer for the Job Site! The DEWALT 20V MAX XR POWERPACK 8.0Ah battery is hands-down the best battery I’ve ever used. It charged up fast and delivered nothing but consistent, powerful performance all day long. I ran it hard for a full 8-hour shift and it never slowed down. This thing holds a charge like a champ. Built tough too — dropped it more than once on concrete and it kept going like nothing happened. No overheating, no loss in power, just pure performance. Honestly, I don’t need any other batteries now. This one outperforms every other battery in my toolbox. If you’re serious about getting the job done right, this is the battery you want in your gear.

The 8ah power pack works very well for my 6-1/2” XR circular saw as well as my 5” angle grinder. Lots of power and plenty of runtime. Highly recommend for high demand tools in the DeWalt 20v system

GOOD NEWS!!! This is an updated review on my delivered order last week. I received 2 different batteries, one 8ah power stack and one regular dewalt 8ah battery. Unfortunately I had no choice but to give a 1 star review considering that wasn’t what I paid for. I wanted to give an updated review, the customer service was excellent! Before I even had a chance to send the regular 8ah battery back, the company had one on its way 💯. The package arrived the same day I was returning the other. I understand things happen, this why I wanted to change my review once I seen how the company handled this situation. This is an excellent supplier, great cost, and responsive. I would highly recommend this company and these Dewalt batteries. They pack a punch!!! Great value for your money compared to the big box stores. These are genuine Dewalt batteries. The run time is by far better than the basic battery. Don’t waste your money at the big box stores, grab these up at the reasonable price they are while they last. This batt seems to be on the go .longer than my originals. Use it mostly on dewalt circular saw .I believe its a step up from factory. Will buy again as prices fall .

Keeps up with angle die grinder and circular saw that demand more power. You get what you pay for.

Absolutely the best dewalt battery to date. I've purchased five of them and they outlast my 9amp batterires, and they make the 5 amp seem like they have no power. I can go at least a day cutting, shooting, drilling, and impacting without out needing to recharge. I'm a builder and I take great care of my tools, but I use them all the time, all day long. I'm actually in the process of only keeping the 8amp batteries for all my tools, since this is so powerful and long lasting. When you own hundreds of Dewalt tools, you know when you've hit the jackpot with the best battery ever!

This is a premium battery. At a time when the 5ah are seeming cheaper made, this is a well built battery, with extra details - rubber padding. Etc. It's not hugely bigger than a 5ah, but noticeably more powerful. Doesn't come on sale all that often, but can be found <200 once in a while.

DeWalt's best battery with long run time

These batteries run a little wider and not as tall as the other ones. However, it's great and filled with power. If you're someone like me who was debating between this or the 5ah one, I'd say get the 5ah. The size, weight, and power are the perfect package.

very durable , long lasting battery life . I would not recommend for overhead screwing if you plan on using it for screwing stuffs only its gonna be tiring on the long run . The rest of tools is a must to have an 8amp or more makes the job faster and run longer before charging
