These tool cases are so good they should ship the “bare tools” in them! Bought one for each of my cordless Milwaukee tops!

I tested this with my M18 multi-tool, and it fits fine. The closed-cell foam is cut very precise, and it includes the cut-out pieces to you can use just the compartments that you need. The battery cut-outs fit the fairly standard size 3 or 5AH batteries, but they don’t fit the high-output batteries (I did fit one where the charger is supposed to go, but then I can’t carry a charger. Also, you can’t store the tool with a blade on it, so some usefulness is sacrificed. The quality of the case itself is excellent – I wouldn’t recommend running over it with a truck, but it should be fine for rugged use otherwise. The handle seems very solid, and the latches lock, so it’s not likely to come open when you don’t want it to. I may swap out the foam and end up using is as a camera case instead for use on river trips, but I’ll certainly want to double-test the waterproofness before I do that. I’m giving it 4 stars because it didn’t fit my high-output batteries, but if you have the standard batteries this should work fine for the multi-tool. I pictured it next to an Apache 2800 case for size comparison – it’s a bit bigger, but not quite as deep.
