this is probably the best hot drink ever, we even tried it on toast as a spread. i love it, beefy taste and no caffeine. but be careful if are prone to gout! i had gout the next morning after consuming several cups and the spread on toast. use moderation!

A bit too expensive
Tastes great but a little pricey for what you get. I could see it being this expensive if it was important from the UK, but it's not

Very close to Bovril
Since Bovril is not sold in the US, if you want a hot cup of "Bov-rew" (as it's pronounced in Stevenage) you have to use fake bouillon cubes, with no beef even having nodded at the broth cube. Enter "Bovrite" which is so close, you can hardly tell the difference. Black, like treacle (molasses) and not as salty as bouillon, you put a tsp into your cup of boiling water and there's a drink guys seem to like. It's also good on buttered toast or on bread with tomatoes for a sandwich. Don't knock it until you 've tried it. A "Bovrite and Tomato" sammie and a cup of tea is a very good snack. I like broth now and then as a snack. It shuts up the stomach and feels like food. Since we're all dieting in 2021 as the new fad to take up time that used to be spent in socializing, this could be a game changer. Oh, it also works as a flavor enhancer for soups and stews but frankly, I wouldn't waste it on that. You can use Oxo.

Love this stuff, but not cheap.
As a Brit living in the US, I was missing my hot Bovril drinks on cold winter days. As Bovril isn't allowed in the USA, Bovrite is the next best thing. Tastes great, but is way over priced for what it is. I guess sometimes though you have to spend a tad more for the taste of home.

Great substitute for Bovril
This is a very decent substitute for the English "Bovril," which is no longer available in the US. It is intensely flavorful but has zero fat, cholesterol, or salt. Magic! I like it best when spread on buttered toast.
