Solid well built quality hardware. In lieu of a coffee table lift, I used these as a vertical cabinet door "lift", although in my application the door drops to open and raises to close. The benefit of this hardware set vs others is that this one is predrilled to facilitate the installation of a horizontal bar to help keep the two sides aligned, which helps significantly. It also includes all mounting screws; however you may want to consider using pan head screws instead for a firmer connection. I found the pneumatics to be high quality - they have lasted for several years; however, I also found they are stronger than needed. In my case, the hinges have an 11lb load on them, and I found the lifts to be engineered for a much heavier load; I replaced the lifts with those rated for 10-12 lb load and it works much better.

It allows minor differential movement but I suppose most all hardware if this type would do that.

I wasn't sure what I'd be getting when I made this purchase but I was pleasantly surprised !!! Considering this hardware ranges from anywhere up to 100 +$ , for the same exact thing, I'd say this is a damn good value! I DID have to modify the way I attached them inside the table , but it was simple. I just added a piece of wood (that was a tad bit thinner so it fit just right under where the screw holes are...you can actually google how to modify this hardware and you'll find instructions) underneath on each one and figured out where it had to be attached to allow the mechanism to open, but it took away 95% of that wobble I would've otherwise had , if I hadn't added the wood. You can obviously purchase the fancier version(or should I say, the WAY MORE EXPENSIVE) of this hardware that includes that bar which attaches one side to the other, to negate the movement upon lifting open. But I honestly think that using the wood pieces worked just as well, if not better,to eliminate that unwanted movement. When yoy lift up the table top, it very easily locks into place and stays that way until you want to put it back down . You don't have to worry about putting your laptop and coffee on it, (once it's up and in that locked position) thinking that it's not going to stay in that position, bc it will. And those pieces of wood definitely contributed to that factor as well. Overall, this was definitely a good purchase and I'm about to order more now!

Used it on a 48" coffee table and they twist a bit so for something that big I would use the heavier ones with the cross bar otherwise they are great

This is a light duty version and is holding up to being able to place a tray and light items, games and plates etc. in the raised position. You do have to be careful when putting it up or down since mine are so fat apart it does tend to sheer one direction or the other if not pulling up evenly on both sides. The hinges themselves are sturdy

This mechanism is perfect for coffee table elevation. It transforms a coffee table into a dinner tray station with the lift of the wrist. The elevator hardware is sturdy and relatively easy to install. I rate it a five star product!

Added this to an existing coffee table; took less than 15 minutes. I did have to add 20lbs of weight to the back of the table to act as a counter weight. Installation... if you need instructions, perhaps you shouldn't be installing it...but; Put the table upside down, with the top in the correct position. Put the hinges, one on each side of the top, next to the table side rails, and up to the front of the front rail Screw with 3/4" screws. Use all the holes. Done.

These were used in a camping kitchen system I made to go in a suzuki Jimny. They lift a lid on a draw that has the gas cooker in it which becomes a small bench for use while cooking.

Cumplen totalmente su función. Cuando estaba haciendo la mesa, temí que tuviera demasiada fuerza de empuje y que saliera disparado el tablero, pero no ocurrió. Es más, cuesta lo suficiente levantarlo para que no llegue al esfuerzo, y el bajado es perfecto porque no da golpe si lo haces con cuidado. Eso sí: ATENCIÓN!! Yo pequé de novato, pues era mi primera mesa, y compré las primeras bisagras que me parecieron buenas (estás) sin calcular muy bien la elevación total que tendrían. Al ponerle ruedas a la mesa, y elevar el tablero, me quedo demasiado alta, pero fue fallo mio por no calcular eso. No caigáis en lo mismo que yo, y medid bien.

Super well made, metal is thick enough, hard enough. Struts are spot on and overall build quality is impeccable. It is indeed tricky to install, and is always about what to install first... If you have a really straight, easy to measure setup, I advise to measure it well and put the hinges on the table top first, then screw it inside. We used an irregular palette as the base, so could not do this. But result is great nonetheless! Thank you.

These are handy little gizmos and I've used them several times in projects. They are well made and mine have stood up to repeated heavy use. A little tricky to install - if its not used on typical metal bracketed computer tables - but with a little ingenuity they can be used in most any situation as long as the material the mounting brackets are anchored to, is thick enough to hold the screws needed - and that depends on the amount of weight you are thinking of lifting with them.Use a zip tie on each side to hold them in a folded position when figuring out the whys and wheres of fitment or the powerful gas cylinder will pop them up and frustrate you.
