New Lawn help
I had new landscaping and grass seed put in the Fall. WIth the lack of snow this winter, my grass has already started to come up early. I bought this to aid me in knowing if my soil had enough PH to continue to grow healthy grass. I placed it in the ground and left it for about an hour. So far my PH levels are right on for a great looking lawn. This little device is going to save me so much time, enery and even worry to if it is too wet or too dry.

worthy green house tool
I purchased this because I have a small green house and I am growing different vegetables. I like the fact that it gives an accurate measurement of moisture and PH. I am not sure how the light portion of the meter works or whether it accurate or not. I was only looking for the moisture/PH meter but overall is a great buy.

Works out of the box
Out of the box the item works fantastic. Ph and moisture seam to be as accurate as I need for gardening. Not effective for precise measuring.

Accurate so far
Tested this on a variety of plants in containers inside and outside and it did seem to respond accurately to the bone dry compost of some cacti and the moist soil of some recently watered plants so can't fault it so far. Time will tell how sturdy and reliable it is.

I gave it 1 star because there is no option for -5 stars.I place it in water and the needle moved to upper good but not wet.I try to measure the ambient light and I got a reaction only when the sunlight hits it directly.As for the pH measurement... Well, in a baking soda solution I got no reaction from the needle nor when I place it in vinegar.I would have send it back, but from my loction the shipping charges are larger than the value of it.DO NOT BUY IT!

This is a high quality tool and very useful if you have different plants/trees that require different soil conditions. I was able to check the acidity of the soil at my different plans and adjusted accordingly. recommend this for all gardeners

Great for beginner gardeners like me!
This is a really handy gardening tool! I'm new into gardening, and realized that some plants require acidic soil, while some do not. This has been a big help in determining where the perfect spot is for my blueberry bush! It's also really nice to see if it's getting enough light, and to check the moisture at the root level! It doesn't require a battery either, I love it!

Works as advertised @ great price
Very easy to use and easy to read. Can't comment on accuracy because I have no way to calibrate it. That being said, its readings are consistent with expectations.
