Totally Amazing Appliance!
At first glance, I thought, "you've GOT to be kidding me!!" when looking at the price of this toaster. But, after having it for a week, I can say that it’s very much a quality appliance. Calling it a toaster is a bit of a misnomer, as it does way more than just make some toast. This appliance will indeed make fabulous toast, and it will toast it to perfection, just the level of toastiness that you desire. It also handles heating virtually all bread type items with a pre-determined formula for arriving at the right level of hot and toasted exterior, which means no burned bagels and no toaster strudels with semi-frozen interiors (unless that is the way you want it!) You can toss on the warmer rack to warm up rolls, buns, croissants, muffins, cinnamon rolls, etc. to be irresistibly warm and soft. And then the Toastie Press, what a treat! My wife has been cooking up paninis, quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches made to perfection, and has started experimenting with making breakfast pockets to eat on the go, the uses are endless! Lest I forget to mention, the appliance also works as a calendar, clock, and weather device. You’d think we have enough of these sorts of items around the house that these features would not be all that helpful, but oddly enough, I find myself easily glancing at the “toaster” when strolling through the kitchen and getting a mental update on time/temp, which I never would have bothered to check before, or realized how nice that tidbit of information becomes. Then comes my favorite additional feature – the custom photo backgrounds! Now I can “have breakfast with my children” every morning, even though they’ve all grown up and moved away from home. The only things I wish it would have are: 1) More local areas for weather (I had to pick a town 25 miles away). And 2) I wish it was Alexa enabled so that I could just tell it what I want it to do instead of pressing my selections (my Alexa microwave has me spoiled)

A Toaster From The Future
Super happy with this toaster. Granted it is expensive. BUT, it is fast, we'll made and makes perfect toast. So I love this toaster. Tells time and weather status... what more could you ask if a toaster. Highly recommended. I even purchased a screen protector for my toaster - Go Figure???

World's Coolest Toaster!
The absolute best toaster I have ever owned. A bit pricey, but well worth the cost. Love the output and controls screen. I also bought the pannini press attachment separately and just love it. Makes the best grilled sandwiches.

Love it!
I absolutely love this smart toaster. You can choose your setting to toast your bread and pastry to your specific liking. No guess work involved. The best feature is the Toastie Press which makes the best sandwich when you are in a hurry or a quick snack.

Burnt Everything
Absolutely the coolest toaster I have ever used. My family gets the biggest kick out of using it. Makes absolutely awesome toast. The interface is easy, and it really looks great. Have to update. After a few weeks all it does now is burn. No matter what setting or what type of bread it burns. Sent the company a support request but still haven't heard anything. Will update if anything changes. Received a response from the company support. They said they are aware of this problem and to unplug and reboot. That did help. Will see if it goes back to burning after some time. Problem still occurs. Below are toast and bagel on setting 3. Which is near the lowest. Going to send it back. At first I thought it was really a great idea but for the money not worth it and going to get rid of it and get something that works. It I learn more will post.

A luxury toaster with great features
Yes this is an expensive toaster, but making perfect toast or bagels in the morning is important to me. Compared to other top of the line and similarly priced toasters (like Dualit, Wolf, Smeg, etc), the R180 Connect Plus has some great unique features, including the photo frame where I can see my family and dog photos, current weather which I like to see before I leave the house in the morning, and the ability to receive over the air software updates when new features become available. Best of all, it has great toasting performance due to the preprogrammed bread types. I never burn anything, and I don’t have to pop the toast up to check if it is over toasted or not toasted enough. Everything pretty much comes out exactly as I set it for. And I also should add that it makes great panini sandwiches with the toastie press. Sure I can make toast with a $30 unit, but this is a luxury product with features that are worthwhile to me. I also used to think this was too much to pay for a toaster until I started using one that our office purchased. I was hooked!

This Toaster is Hot Stuff!
This toaster is really different from any other that we have used. For example, there is no lever to press down to load your toast. The machine automatically does that for you. Most impressive, however, is that you choose, which of the 40 different types of breads you are using and then you get to press the length of time you want it toasted. We have toasted white bread, rye bread, bagels, and English muffins. They come out just about perfect. Just one thing. It sometimes takes us a second attempt at getting the toast, just right. For example, we like the English muffin at level three and the white bread at level four. But it took us two times to get the English muffin just right, we started out using level four instead of three. We use the Toastie Press to make perfect grilled cheese sandwiches. It did it quickly and evenly. They suggested level seven and it turned out to be perfect.. We used the warming rack for hamburger and hotdog buns. They warm up the buns and soften them and give them just a bit of toast. We thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a timer on the display that’ll let you know when the toast is going to be ready. I never had anything like that before and it has become something very convenient.

Great Smart Toaster, But Pricey for What It Is
I purchased the Revolution R180 Connect Plus Smart Toaster during Black Friday at a discount, and while it’s undoubtedly a high-tech appliance, the price—regularly $499.95—still makes it a significant investment. Even with the discount, the cost is hard to justify for a toaster, but I’ll explain why it’s worth considering. Pros: Perfect Toast Every Time: The variety of bread types you can toast is impressive, and it consistently delivers excellent results. I’ve tried white, wheat, sourdough, bagels, and frosted pastries, all of which came out exactly as expected. The browning control is intuitive and precise, and you can select from different doneness levels with full confidence. Toastie Press & Warming Rack: The Toastie Press, while not without its limitations, is still a fun addition. I’ve made grilled cheese, quesadillas, and PB&J sandwiches. However, I found it a bit difficult to fit more substantial ingredients between the bread without them spilling out when trying to close the press. Also, sometimes the bread sticks to the press at the end of the cycle, which is frustrating. That said, it’s still a convenient way to make quick sandwiches without oil or butter. The Warming Rack is great for reheating pastries, cookies, and croissants, keeping them warm and crisp without drying them out. Smart Features: I love the full-color touchscreen and Wi-Fi connectivity, which auto-sets the clock and shows the weather forecast. It’s a nice touch that adds functionality without needing to grab my phone. Plus, it reminds me when the crumb tray needs cleaning—small things that make a difference in maintaining the toaster. Photo Frame: One of the standout features for me is the built-in digital photo frame. I uploaded a photo of a family breakfast and also created custom AI-generated images of food items toasted on the Revolution. It’s a fun and personalized way to display memories and entice the family to use the toaster more often. Cons: Price: While I understand that this is a high-tech appliance, the price tag is undeniably steep for what is, at its core, still a toaster. I wish there were more ways to enhance the toastie press functionality, especially since it was one of the main reasons I bought the toaster. Toastie Press Limitations: As mentioned, the Toastie Press works well, but it’s a bit limited in terms of how much you can load into it before things spill out. The bread sometimes sticks to the press, which can be frustrating, especially when trying to make multiple sandwiches or something with more ingredients. Conclusion: Overall, I am satisfied with the Revolution R180 Connect Plus Smart Toaster. It delivers on its promise of perfectly toasted bread, and the additional features, like the Toastie Press and Warming Rack, are fun and useful, though not without their limitations. The photo frame adds a unique touch, and the smart features are definitely convenient. However, the price is a big hurdle. If you can catch it on sale, it’s worth considering, but I’d hesitate to pay the full price.
