These vanilla beans are wonderful quality. However, please be aware that this package is not airtight. The customer might consider that the ziplock pouch provided is adequate storage; however, when I went to retrieve my remaining two beans, I found they were completely dried out and actually snapped in multiple pieces. I would suggest storing these in an airtight jar upon receipt to protect them. It does say on the package to store these in an airtight container, but I doubt most cooks/bakers will be reading the directions on the back. Nice quality, nice price!

Fresh, Fragrant and Delicious
I am new to the whole vanilla bean game, so my purchase was based on other reviews as well as the price point. The second I opened the reusable zip-close package, the scent of vanilla was undeniably evident. The pods were firm but pliable, moist, aromatic and I got the sense right off the bat that they were fresh. I split open a pod immediately and scraped the seeds with no effort whatsoever. The inside was sticky, fragrant and tasted like vanilla bean should! Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase, the packaging, the quality and the flavor.

Great price for just the right number of beans!
Arrived in a resealable package, just like the picture. The beans I've used so far have been terrific, moist and fragrant. So much cheaper than purchasing at the grocery store. I'm sure you can get them even cheaper in larger quantities, but in my kitchen 5 beans will last a long time. Two dried out grocery store beans for almost the same price, is just not acceptable!

I started buying vanilla beans a couple of years ago...and Kiva is dear to my heart. To be able to get superior quality beans ( you seriously will never buy grocery store vanilla beans again) and be able to support Kiva supported somebody makes it a no brainer for me. The beans are still supple and fragrant. Perfect for flavoring sugar or coffee or tea (love it in my chai).

Wonderful product
These are a great quality product for a great price. I like knowing that they are organic, non-GMO and ethically sourced. I've been making vanilla extract and vanilla sugar in large batches in preparation for holiday season. I'm really happy with the quality of these beans.

Good beans and good value.
My beans were perfectly oily with a delightful vanilla aroma. I used 2 to make creme brulee and the rest went into making vanilla extract and they both turned out vastly superior to off-the-shelf alternatives.

Aromatic and soft
These vanilla beans are long, soft and aromatic. I used them to make homemade vanilla extract. I cannot wait until it's ready to use for holiday baking. I even made a few extra bottles for gifts! You need to get these!

The flavor is great. I think they smell funny, kind of plasticity and weird, so I worried about the flavor, but my cupcakes were amazing and the ice cream divine. I have never used real vanilla beans before so I am not the best judge of how they are supposed to smell. They worked great and are way cheaper than the stuff in my grocery store.
