This is an excellent product at a low price. I checked other ac adapters and they were a lot more expensive, even the unknown brands. Initially, I was having trouble getting it to work, but later found out that it works perfectly if you let Windows 10 install the drivers through Windows Update; the drivers that come with the included CD are outdated and don’t work. Just plug it into the usb port and let windows install the drivers. After I got it working I found that this adapter is consistent and fast and I always get my top internet speed of 70Mb/s. If you use an N adapter you only get speeds up to 30Mb/s so I highly recommend this ac adapter. If you have a higher internet speed, this adapter will probably be able to reach that as well. Note that this adapter’s speed is also faster than if you are directly connected to your router via an ethernet cable; my top speed via the cable was 30Mb/s. The adapter is also well built and it doesn’t look like it will break. This is one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon.

This product is well supported under Windows (XP-10) and is plug and play.Under Linux you'll have to jump through a few hoops. Experienced Linux users will be well versed in the procedure for acquiring drivers but new users will find it a challenge. Suffice to say if you are new to Linux, have a wired connection to the internet up and running. This is the easiest method to getting drivers for a wireless device. The chip set seems to vary according to when it was made and this information will be needed. I had to dig around to find out what mine was since it was not provided. One of those Linux hoops.Overall the product is well made and transmits/receives at speeds you want from a Wifi unit, in Windows and Linux.

I've bought one of these before and it worked fine on a Windows 10 machine with no fuss. Because of this I was a little too hasty buying a second adapter for an Ubuntu Linux PC. Had I stopped to read the small print I would perhaps have noticed the lack of any mention of Linux support.Anyhow, with a little googling I soon found a driver on github (cilynx/rtl88x2bu) which was fairly easy to install and (so far) is performing very well. However, based on forum comments, I may have to re-install every time my Linux kernel is updated.I've docked points for "Tech Support", as the website listed on the packaging, ourlink.us, goes to a GoDaddy domain parking page. Also I couldn't read the enclosed DVD on the only (Windows) PC I have that still has a DVD drive.After all that 4 stars may seem generous, but the adapter works fine in Windows and I'm getting a very good signal in Linux.

This adapter is terrible. It as an intermittent connection which will just randomly drop. It advertises 300 Mbps in the 2.4GHz band but I never experienced above 50 Mbps in both bands, frequently dropping to under 10 Mbps before I have to unplug and reset it. My other devices on the network in the same room as the adapter have zero problem but my computer with this adapter just drops the connection and when it has the connection, the speed is so low it's barely usable. I also tried to update the drivers and they're basically nonexistent. You're better off using a spare dual-band router as a wifi adapter and that's exactly what I did.

Plug and play! it worked right out of the box and improved the wifi reception immensely over my older laptop buildin wifi. 8 hours or so in Seems good sofar.

Works great! Fast connection and speed. I was able to put the cd in and have the internet working for my cpu within a few minutes. Super simple and easy to install and get to work!

i have windows 10 and wanted to project my desktop's screen (in my study) onto a projector (in my living room). i have AcionTec ScreenBeam on the projector, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O14JG2Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, and ourlink usb wifi on my desktop. You'll have to install the utility software comes with the box (i've downloaded the latest version from their website) and allow virtual wifi on the software for miracast to work.

This high speed wifi interface has pepped my old computer, loading pages noticeably faster. WIN10 found the drivers without my intervention making installation a breeze. I liked it so much I bought a second one for another computer and it too works perfectly.
