– Marvel Comics Library. Avengers. 1963–1965: Volume 1

This is an amazing edition, top quality hardback volume, the paper is tough and bears the colours well, I think this might outlast me! The first 20 issues of The Avengers reprinted in full, adverts and all. With an extensive introduction by Kurt Busiek this can be enjoyed on many levels. Firstly and foremostly, for entertainment as it's a riveting good read, Secondly, it will look very good on your bookshelves! Finally, it's an investment for your future! I can see this doubling and maybe tripling in value in ten years' time, when copies become scarcer and it goes out of print!

I've just received this today. I ordered this together with the spiderman edition. The Avengers edition came from Speedyhen. Both books arrived in good order but the packaging on the Speedyhen book was much superior to the Amazon packaging. Something Amazon could definitely improve on. So will be looking out for more editions from Speedyhen in future. Both books are really good value for the price, well made with a good spine, the printing is excellent.

Lovely book...I also have the Amazing Spider-Man volume which was that good it prompted me to purchase this one and I wasn't disappointed! I have no hesitation recommending this...much more manageable than the Taschen XL volumes and just as lovely 😊

This book is fantastic the whole entire book is full of action comics from begining to end in full colour and it has the original advertising like the old muscle ad on getting muscle without weights in so many weeks this is a good buy book

Very Very Good

The product came earlier than expected. 2 days earlier, which is great news. The condition of the book is perfect. I love how detailed it is. It has authentic ads from when the comic was released. The nostalgia it adds is breathtaking.

Fantastic product

This is great, I was really hoping that Taschen would go for a more omni size as well as the monster size, this is a big improvement in terms of storage and holding. Certain arguments will be made on the quality of the images of the pages. Also the price is so much more reasonable. I hope they release all their other volumes in this smaller format.

This is the best collection available of the first 20 issues of The Avengers. It’s quite large, but easier to handle than the XXL Taschen edition and the enlarged, but not huge, page size is perfect for reading. The colors are true to the original comic books, although printed on glossy white paper, with faults in the original comic printing corrected. I’ve included two photos comparing this edition to original pages from the third issue. Some, although not all, of the original ad (and letters) pages are included too. As with Taschen’s Amazing Spider-Man volume, this is a great presentation of the original comics at a fair price for a book of this quality. Well worth buying, and I hope they continue to add to this series.

Come avevo sperimentato con il volume simile di Amazing Spider-Man la qualità di questa edizione è molto alta. Si tratta di versioni più piccole della serie XXL ma pur sempre più grandi rispetto ad un Marvel Omnibus. Il look della ristampa è molto diverso rispetto agli omnibus: poiché si tratta di scansioni dei comics originali i colori sono meno brillanti e anche la definizione è minore. Tuttavia il risultato è più fedele all'aspetto originale dei comics. Questo fatto è ulteriormente rafforzato dall'inclusione delle copertine degli albi (fronte e retro) e di molti "in-house ads" oltre che delle pagine con le lettere dei lettori. In sostanza, per chi ama i comics originali e quindi non solo le storie, questi volumi sono la scelta migliore. Bisogna però ricordare che riproducono molte meno storie rispetto agli omnibus: ogni volume ristampa circa 20 albi della serie.

Great fun to see the reproductions of the original comics with the house ads and letter pages. I wish they'd bring out the other comics in this size format as well. The size isn't as large as the first, more expensive versions, but they are still larger than the Masterworks; in fact, this size still makes for a heavy lift.
