Was dubious but pleasantly surprised
I don't usually go for Elf foundation because I haven't had much luck in the past, and buying the wrong foundation can start to turn into an expensive mistake.Firstly I just wanted to add I'm 33, I have sensitive and dry skin, particularly around the cheeks and have some redness. The foundation was applied to clean, moisturised and primed skin, leaving a good amount of time between each layer of product and leaving 15 minutes after the primer for the foundation to be applied. When applying I used a warm damp beauty blender to help blend the foundation into the skin and I then applied the rest of my make up as normal. The foundation blended in like skin and felt extremely light weight, this is a buildable foundation and so if I wanted more coverage I could easily apply more. The foundation didn't set into any lines, nor did it cling onto any dry patches. I also loved how it left my skin with a slight glow. By the end of the day, my foundation hadnt separated or started to come off either so I felt it had good wear time. The colour match was very slightly off however with the summer months coming, I don't think it'll be an issue.I'll 100% be buying the foundation again!

Beautiful foundation
I bought the medium and light shade to give me the perfect shade. A great foundation at a great price

Not really a Light Neutral
I know peops have been raving about this so I decided to try for myself in the hope I had found a replacement for my expensive foundation. I have light neutral skin so guess what I got- 'light neutral'. BUT Its a lot more orangey toned than I expected and oxidises down a bit further. I do however like the consistency and blendability and coverage and it goes on easy enough with fingers, brush or blender. I'll stick to my current foundation meantime till I can get to try on a few more shades.

Disappointed
Expected better from such a reputable brand. The fair is extremely pale so for a start I picked the wrong shade.I didn't like the consistency of product, thick and gloopy. It didn't blend nearly as well as others I have tried and as for a satin finish, absolutely no way...dried very matt.

Worse foundation I ever tried
As a professional makeup artist I decided to try this based on the strong reviewsAwful. Shade 21 is ok for light skin. Like a Mac nx20. That said. The foundation is awful. Why is everyone saying it's great??Left my skin flat. Didn't dry to a nice finish. Bland and nothing special about it. Didn't make me look amazingTbh i think L'Oréal foundations if you're going thf cheaper end. Have a better finishI personally prefer more high end expensive foundations ..but if you're on a budget try L'Oréal over this. Or Revlon. Maybelline ..not so good now they changed their super stay foundation to a new formula which is rubbish ..Rimmel,not so great really either these daysBe aware you cannot return this either so it'll be a waste of £8 ...think even a Primark or pound shop foundation would be better than this

Smooth foundation
This foundation is easy to apply and as good as any other I’ve used. I have the mascara too which is the best I’ve used. All I’d say is that it needs spf.
