I was pleasently surprised. The packaging was amazing. The mineral paper truly doesn't rip easily. There aren't ugly creases in the map when it's folded like you get with normal paper, so it won't rip as easily if you fold it up. We were going to use it for a homeschool project, but it's so nice we decided to hang it on the wall, too. I might buy a frame for it... Review: The map is amazing. My ten year old son got this map and loves it. It is easy to read and is very durable. He loves the idea of the map being double sided with different colors. The stickers are easy to put on and peel of the map. Overall, it is a really good map and I strongly recommend it.

Laminated, excellent map for the cost. 6, 13, 16yr children that I can teach and show different places in the world. Hangs on my living room wall.

Now I can track where I've been without taking up too much space or having to redo the pins when I move.

Got this to make a graphical record of our trips. This was the best example of a large map, black &white (reverse side) with country/city names. It comes with stickers. I don't see any indication that it is not compatible with dry-erase markers, so I tested it on the colored side. Might as well be using permanent markers; however, the tiny test mark in the margin did not bleed through to the B&W side (whew!). The map comes folded and so far the creases (not sharp, but more rounded) have not come out. Plan to have a frame shop mount it on foam board and maybe that will smooth it out. Could it not be shipped rolled up? This item is as advertised. Just reporting my experience with the markers and folds.
