I thought having the magnifier would be helpful but it's hard to get the right focal distance while at the same time trying to extract a splinter. I would get he tweezers gain in a second but def skip the magnifier. Md when you hold the tweezers lightly,the magnifier is big enough that it wants to spin in your grip.

The tweezers are great. The extremely small tip allows for very precise use. The one negative is that the tip is very delicate; it is very easy to knock the individual tweezers out of alignment. They definitely need to be kept in a case.

Absolutely a fantastic product to remove difficult, embedded splinters, especially those extremely small splinters kids tend to get from playing outdoors.

I bought these about 10 years ago and love them. It's a little hard to get the focus just right, and I don't use them when regular tweezers will work, but when you need them on really little stuff they are the cats meow.I bought mine from a wood worker store for $20. Might want to shop around a little.
