Hack makes it way better!
Just wanted to share how I use this product, which I think makes it better! Thanks to R.L.K. for the initial idea. Like R.L.K. I initially wrap the floss around the button, then I wrap a bunch of floss around the handle and then thread it through the slots and back onto the button. However, if you do this, you end up with used floss at the end and you will hurt your fingers trying to break it off of you need to use scissors. But if you open a plastic floss container up, you can extract the little metal cutter piece, and I just crimped that onto the bottom of the flosser handle using channel lock pliers (as seen in the picture). Now you can cut off the used floss and it’s much easier to reload the flosser!

Excellent for Kids
This is so helpful for flossing my 4 y/o’s teeth! A godsend! Does not use more floss than manual flossing, holds it securely, can see very well while flossing someone else’s mouth. So much easier. I don’t prefer it for my own flossing, but it works well and can’t see a reason anyone would give it a bad review

Work good
Works just ok. The floss keeps coming loose. I only use it when I can't reach the very back teeth, sometimes my fingers can do it and sometimes when the arthritis is acting up, they can't and then I use it.

Solidly built. No more disposable floss or reaching fingers.
Those work great! So much better than using my fingers into my mouth or disposable flossers and you can use your own choice of floss. It is a bit bigger than disposable ones but it works so well I prefer it to the small ones now. While it is not the cheapest, mine has lasted years and saved me and the environment a lot of waste, so I think it is well worth the investment. I’m getting more so I can keep a spare in my travel kit.

No thanks.
I keep hoping it's a skill issue and in time I will get better at this, but as for right now these things are pretty worthless. The floss won't stay where it's supposed to which creates slack. and then far more effort is required to get it in between the teeth and it is awkward and painful. Yes, I am writing this while angry.

I love this Floss Fork, even more so after enhancement
About 20 years ago (pre-2005), I bought a 3-pack of these forks from a CVS pharmacy. I gave two of the forks to my folks and kept one for myself. I love this fork because it holds the floss well and precludes floss strangulation of my fingers. I initially liked the relative equivalent use of the floss string compared to finger wrapping. Similar to finger wrapping, it does require about 6 inches of string before and after the fork span that can never be used. That said, as time went by, I learned to use a somewhat longer length than needed for a flossing session, then unwrapping and reinstall the floss after progressing it forward two or three inches to an unworn portion of string. In that way the same piece of string could be used for 5 or 6 floss sessions. I was flossing my teeth every day like this until, after only 20 years, the fork broke! Happily, I was able to find them for sale on Amazon, so I bought another 3-pack. The new ones are virtually identical to the old ones. Now with the new ones, another efficiency idea came to me. If the blind hole in the handle’s base is drilled-out and a narrow slot cut into it, then even longer lengths of floss can be installed by wrapped string though that hole. Doing so greatly increases the number of flossing sessions that can be had per length of string. I wrap one or two lengths through the hole, and it works quite well (see photo). Alas, for some unknow reason Amazon cannot download this simple, unenhanced, unaltered photo. It repeatedly says to try again, and again. This has never been a problem in the past, but of late it now happens sporadically.

Flossing made easier.
These are awesome! Easy to use Reusable and over time cost effective for us. We've even washed in the dishwasher (not sure if that is on the instructions) but they held up. They are great for travel and make flossing for the kids and the elderly much easier. Made in USA.
