I installed this on the roof of my SXS with a small ground plane under it. The SWR was very low and It gets out just fine. Some said Ghost antennas don't work but I beg to differ. I talked to another radio 16 miles away. Very high quality from Midland. Easy to mount as works great with my Midland mobile radio

Watched YouTube videos of reviews on this antenna and it was very good. Was tested against a taller antenna and it was only 1 DB difference . I would buy again. I had ordered a Chinese copy about 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't shown up. Ordered this one last night and got this afternoon .

I bought this so I could swap back and forth between the MX25 & the MX26 depending on riding geography. Both seem to work equally well, but then I use the MX26 in forests & hills and the MX25 in more open country. I utilize the same base and ground plane for both (a 12x12 steel plate w/magnetic mount on a composite top). We will have to see how they hold up to the elements and off road use, so 4 stars for now, may go to 5 in the future.

Perfect GMRS antenna for Jeep Wrangler in order to allow clearance from trees etc. on off road adventures

I got this midland ghost antenna for those trips where were traversing through overgrown and wooded areas. The ghost antenna is a stubby unit, which does not get in the way and still offers a very good range, for its size. Does not feel like it scarifices much frequeny loss. Its one of those antennas that you can leave on your truck everyday, and not worry if you had to drive through a drive thru.
