Plug and Play with Xfinity - easy install for the not tech savy
Worked Great - easy to install for a non-IT guy and works with Xfinity right out of the box.I have DREADED the idea of getting a new modem that was not directly from Xfinity because I thought it would be a huge hassle and involve a bunch of time on service calls. In the end, this was SUPER easy and I regret not doing it sooner. I recommend downloading any apps and confirming this modem through the Xfinity app before you swap. This way you have full internet before "going dark" during the swap over. This was direct plug and play and it's been fantastic, I would highly recommend.I paired this with TP-Link mesh routers and now I have great speed and coverage in my whole home. Should have done this long ago.

Works with Spectrum
Quicker startup and connect to my Spectrum internet service than my old Arris SB6190. It was 8 years old though and worked great until it recently started cutting off randomly. I had to get in touch with spectrum to get it activated. I used their online chat service and it was up in under 5 minutes. They will just need the MAC address from the sticker on the bottom or you can log into the modem and get it there. So far it's doing great. I only have 600 service and I'm getting roughly 550 and 22 up. It's a bit overkill for my connection, but it's there if I need it.

Works
I use this modem for my Comcast Xfinity internet. I’ve been using it for about 6 months now. It has been extremely reliable in that time. I have never had an outage due to the equipment. I also am able to achieve my internet plan’s advertised speed (1gbps).For most people, this is overkill. I like to have a separate modem and router for some level of redundancy and troubleshooting. Plus, I don’t like paying monthly equipment rental fees, and I expect this modem to last long enough (for me) that it beats the price of the rental.I do not recommend this product if you can’t explain why you need it. You might as well use the ISP-provided hardware in that case.I highly recommend this modem if you’re purchasing a standalone router and have a cable internet plan with speeds between 1gbps to 2.5gbps. If you have a slower plan, you might as well find a cheaper option. If you have a faster plan, this will throttle your speed.

ARE THERE ZERO STARS AVAILABLE?
Since I purchased this item for over $200, I thought it would be a good product. It worked for about 3 weeks. Then, suddenly, it would not connect to the internet. Calling Netgear was not productive. They suggested it was my internet provider that was to blame. After calling my internet provider and having them come to my place to check cables and connections to diagnose the problem, I was told that it was the Netgear Nighthawk modem that was the problem. I called Netgear to get a replacement or trade. If you have lots of time and you are able to stay on the telephone for long menus and wait times, I congratulate your patience. This run-around from Netgear was extremely frustrating. They do not honor their warrantee so forget that you even saw that statement on their paperwork that they send with the unit. I called Netgear several times and when my call was transferred to another person, their phone system took me back to the first long drawn-out menu. I would only have to call back to start the process all over again. Dont bother wasting over $200 of your money and your time with Netgear. Send it back immediately to Amazon. Netgear’s warrantee is false and misleading. There is no warrantee. Netgear’s customer support is very poor. Don’t expect any. Netgear’s products are something I will never buy again.

Works well with xfinity.
Easy install. I’m an xfinity user and it all went smoothly. Just use the xfinity app to reset your line and it recognizes the modem in about 10 minutes.

Perfect Match with the Nighthawk BE19000
This Netgear Nighthawk CM2000 cable internet modem is pure awesome. I quickly noticed a increase in both my speed and performance while using this unit. It's so very many light years above the Arris Surfboard S33 that I last had that it will never be funny again. The best perfect match for this unit that I have come across as you all see in photo is the Nighthawk BE19000 router, future proofing my purchase with Wifi 7. I am paying for internet speed of 1gbps, with that said, looking at the photo again you can see that I am getting every bit of my money worth and then some. Another thing that I like about the CM2000 is that it doesn't get hot like my Surfboard S33 was until it played out. The two Nighthawks look so beautiful together. With this setup came another change, that change was my eithernet cables, going from using the round ones to the flat. Awesome outcome. Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. I pulled out and these two devices with the flat cables put out. Giving me every single drop that I am paying for and you can not get better than that. And this is also why I never ever except gear from those I am buying my service from. You'll never get all that you are paying for, and one other thing, I never ever buy a modem that doubles as a router to.... this is never the way to go. For the best performance, these things were made to join forces and become that mighty force. And that's exactly what I have here now. The best part is yet to come and that's when Wifi 7 is in place, I'll already be ready for it with the BE19000 and the CM2000 having it's back. For those that's down playing these products, it's strictly because of something that "YOU" have going on, not because of these products. My first two routers were Netgear, so it's more than safe to say that I have only come back home. They are handling every single thing I am throwing at them. I recall the days when the play store would load when I open it, with these devices paired together, opening the play store now a days it's like it never went anywhere or was never closed. Now I don't see the word "Downloading", I see installing. If anything happens to this setup, I'm going to first cry and then re-buy.
