Very bright even in sunlight. Great light. Easy to mount, easy to charge, good battery.

Bright, seems tight in place. Just bought this rei co op city 1.1 and needed a rear seat light aqnd a bright one, trying to stay USA, or at least American made, and I did. Nice and bright, and have my choice of modes..keeping this one, unless something goes wrong

Not much to add to other reviews on the lights general features - it's bright, plenty of flashing options, etc. What I particularly like is the ease of turning it off. I've had lights that made you cycle through all the settings to get to "off". Annoying. This one requires just a short 1-2 second press on the single, easily reached, cycle on/off button to tun it off. I can do this pretty easily while riding. Perfect. What I like most is that it mounts on my aero Tarmac SL7 seat post and the light blends in nicely with the post once mounted. It does require stretching the attachment band to near its limit to get it on, but not so much that it looks over stretched when attached. The battery life is OK. It lasted through a ~3 hour ride just fine, but only made it through about half of a second ride. What I don't like is that it has to be removed from the bike to charge. While it fits my aero seat post, having to take if off every ride or 2 to charge just means I have to over stretch the attachment band all the time. It's just a matter of time before that band is likely to fail. It also means I can't charge the light and my Di system (a seat post charge port) conveniently at the same time without having to remove parts.

Nice taillight with good range of modes and plenty bright and battery lasts long. Minus one star because I can only mount it to my seatpost which impedes a dropper.

I normally ride on city streets and being seen is very important for safety reasons. This light is very easy to install either on the seat post, seat stays, or back of seat. Attaching to your bicycle is very simple by means of the supplied elastic bands with the housing hooks being deep enough to ensure the light stays on. The light is slim and not one of those boxy/square light and this gives you a wider are with more LED lights and larger pattern. The light is very bright (even in bright sunshine) or it can be adjusted down by selecting a different flash or steady mode. The different modes and brightness settings, makes this light very versatile. The battery charge last quite a while and quite impressive since it can go for a couple of weeks without needing a charge (my rides are normally 1 - 1.5 hrs and I ride 4-5 times weekly). The light is easy to turn on and off and mode selection is simply done by pressing the on/off button. Once you select your desired mode, the mode is put into memory so that when you turn on your light again, it automatically comes on. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and after several months of use, I have not experienced any issues whatsoever.

Incredably bright even in the day time

I decided to go with the Cygolite Hotrod 50 Bike Tail Light because of reviews saying it fit aero posts. I am happy to report that this light easily fits on my Pinarello Prince aero seat post. It also fits on the seat stay, however you will have quite a bit of rubber strap left over on one side. This light is so bright I almost gave myself a seizure when turning it on. Pro Tip: Do not look at it when turning it on as it turns on to the daylight setting. I recommend this product because the bright light, great fit, and it is simple to use. Hit the one button to cycle through modes, which are listed in order on the instructions (go figure, someone gets it), and hold the one button to turn it off. If I had to pick one thing I did not like, it would be that the battery life could be longer, but it is what it is. The charging port is on the back so it needs to be removed, however in turn, you protect the port from the elements by being on the back side of the light.

I had this for several months and it worked fine, Unfortunately I got caught out in the rain last week. I got wet, the bike got wet and the light got wet. I dried off. I clean and lubed the bike. The light now has a compete mind of its own. Sometimes it comes on when I push the button but most times it doesn't. Sometimes it just turns on by itself. Sometimes it just shuts off. I figure that water got into the light and is causing the issues. One would have thought that a light made for a bike would be created waterproof because anyone who rides has been caught out in it. In fact when it is raining, that is probably the most critical time for it to work. When drivers have limited visibility, you need to be seen. Sadly, this light fails.

This is the best light I have ever purchased. The battery lasts for weeks and most importantly its water resistant.

Luz MUY brillante, excelente para la parte trasera de la bici. Se coloca y se quita muy fácil con una goma que se ve muy resistente. La batería me ha durado unas 3 horas de uso continuo en modo flash. Mis recorridos no son tan largos pero si debo cargarla por completo cada 2 o 3 salidas, pero entiendo que por su alto brillo no dure mas de unas 4 horas
