Its soap. It cleans you, very , very well.In fact it is the best most effective soap I have used in my numerous years on this planet.It really is that good.Altough it does have a tendency to leave a pink residue in the shower

as a child in school the smell of carbolic was intense, you either loved it or hated it, i loved it. the soap cleansvery well, lathers up without much rubbing, the smell though is scaled right down, not as strong i recalled still pleasant nonetheless, happy showering and get squeaky clean skin. :-)

I’ve taken to using carbolic soaps over the last couple of years, not because I’m getting smellier (I don’t believe) but because a lot of soaps these days seem to be more about simply smelling nice than actually about washing and cleaning skin.I was buying a much more well-known brand of carbolic soap until recently, but I stopped buying it because its price has rocketed. However, I’ve bought this brand on a couple of occasions now (and buying a 9 Bars Pack makes it relatively economical). As soap goes, it seems great for thoroughly washing and cleaning skin; If you’re looking for a soap with the strong nostalgic whiff of old-school carbolic soap though - this is probably not it - as although it’s the same red colour as traditional carbolic soap, it doesn’t smell quite as strong (which may or not be a bad thing).This is basically a soap for scrubbing up well with ~ in a good old fashioned way!P.s. I notice the price of this Fitzroy carbolic soap has also increased a lot since I last ordered it - about a month ago - 9 bars were £9.99 now they’ve gone up in price to just under £13.50 (that’s ‘inflation’ of about 33% for you or simply the result of so-called dynamic pricing).

Been using this soap for a few years now. Smell takes me back to school in the early 80s.Very good soap and leaves you feeling really clean.

Devo dire che fino a poco tempo fa nemmeno conoscevo l'esistenza di questo tipo di sapone. Navigando su Internet trovai un cenno al largo uso che si faceva di questo sapone fino a pochi anni fa, e di come la gente fosse delusa dal fatto che ora si trova difficilmente. Curiosa come sono, l'ho cercato, prima su Wikipedia per sapere di cosa si trattava, e poi ho deciso di provarlo. E' veramente un prodotto valido! Pulisce bene pur facendo poca schiuma, non secca la pelle e lascia anche un gradevole leggero profumo. io lo adopero anche per lavarmi i capelli .
