I'm a little late to this party - I have the original HoverAir X1, which has served me well. I upgraded to the X1 Pro, with the combo package that includes 2 extra batteries, the charger, and the 65w wall wart; and the Controller Combo, which has the beacon and two joysticks in a case. The HoverAir X1 Pro can fly higher and further than the original X1, but retains all the easy to use features. With the beacon and joysticks, it can be flown like a traditional drone, but still using the ease of launch and retrieve on the palm of your hand. Battery life is improved with the "smart" batteries, lasting up to 16 minutes. The beacon and joysticks connect quickly. If you choose to, you can also use your phone through the Hover app to control on Manual Mode. The X1 Pro has a built in cage surrounding the props - it is flexible and durable. The price is higher than the original X1, but the added features and capabilities are well worth the price - this is a camera drone that will get more use, because it is easy to use.

Lightweight and very, very capable as a professional quality camera paired with truly impressive robotics and autonomous flight technology- the X1 Pro Max will keep athletes and photography enthusiasts alike very satisfied. I was truly impressed with the video quality, but also the sound quality. The noise cancelling built into the application is equally special. You can be 3 feet from this very powerful little drone hovering and maneuvering in the space around you and hear only your voice recorded through your mobile device microphone (running the Hover app). If you're like me and have been considering getting one of these- it's time to make the purchase. You're going to really enjoy capturing moments from all angles and elevations with this device. But perhaps most important is the Hoverair customer service and the Hovercare protection plan. Do not pass on the opportunity to protect your device! I had a "flyaway incident" that was fully covered under the Ts&Cs and the team was incredible! The agents were so responsive to all my questions (and skepticism) about the plan and coverage. I'm talking responses to my questions within just hours. You will be so glad you protected your device. I saved so much money over buying a whole new unit. Brand New replacement shipped right to my door just days later (with a quick, very reasonable and secure replacement fee). The device is amazing! But the company's service level is what sets this whole package aside from competitors. I feel very comfortable pushing my creative use cases to the limits because the drone can definitely handle anything I put it through. And any accident or damage that occurs I know will be covered by Hovercare. Absolutely recommend.

I danced with happiness when I realized that I got PROMAX even though I only bought PRO (Standard). It was unbelievable luck, but my happiness was gone in just a few days and I ended up having to return it. First of all, I want to say that I love its design: it's very small and lightweight, and all the blades are closed, so you don't have to worry about crashing into something and breaking them - as is usually the case with drones that don't have closed blades. By the way, I dropped it a few times, and luckily nothing broke but scratches. I also love the fact that it can follow you, and look forward to this technology being perfected so I can say it's really worth the money spent. But to date, unfortunately, this is not the case, at least as far as this drone is concerned. The first thing I didn't like was that the battery lasts for 10, maximum 13 minutes. I initially thought about buying some more spare batteries, but when I saw the price of them, I changed my mind. The second is that it can lose you very easily, especially if you are in the woods or in a parking lot among cars or any other objects. You dodge quickly and it's already following the tree instead of you - I was always afraid that it would accidentally follow cars that were passing by. The third problem, it has a bad sense of direction in enclosed spaces - by that I mean the same forest or parking lots or inside in a building. It might not see a tree or a corner and just crash into it, which happened a lot. When your drone costs that much, every drop is a mini heart attack. BTW, it also can't go over water, which for me who has a boat is a big problem. I would really like it to be able to film my water travels. And lastly is the video quality; I'll try to post some if amazon will let me, but it's not very high quality and it's too shaky. It hurts my eyes when watching it because of how bad its stabilizer is. I understand that it is only a drone and not a camera, but first of all the price is huge, and therefore the quality should be accordingly. And what is the point of video if it shakes and is not pleasant to watch.

Nice drone, but had some glitches along the way. It just stopped following me while I was on the bike. Then it won't come on at all. Had to push the on button multiple times to get it to come on. Otherwise handles great in the wind. Kept up with me right up to 22-23mph on the bike. Definitely don't see this drone doing 26mph as claimed

The X1 Pro Max ticks every box. Real-World Experience The Follow Me mode—both front and rear tracking—works brilliantly while riding my bike. It’s lightweight, quick to deploy, and doesn’t require the learning curve of traditional drones. Customer Service: A+ The real icing on the cake? I lost my beacon charging cable and was prepared to buy a replacement. Instead, HoverAir’s customer support responded within a day, asked for a few details, and promptly sent me a replacement—free of charge. That’s next-level service! A Couple of Wishes No product is perfect, and if I had two requests, they’d be: 1. Better Color Profile: The current footage is a bit too saturated—a firmware tweak could easily improve this. 2. A Proper Remote & Goggles: It would be amazing if HoverAir introduced a physical remote and perhaps an FPV goggle setup in the future. One can dream!
