I don't know if these are brass or not, I don't know a lot about metallurgy. I needed pins for the handle of a knife, wanted brass colored, and these were roughly the right size for the hole in the knife tang. I say roughly because the hole in the tang was a little undersized so I had to sand them down a bit to fit. Good quality product without any brittleness. Very pleased.

We used these for a plate/cutting board rack project and it turned out great. The are durable, and do not bend to easy which is what we needed however if you did need to bend them with the proper tool you could do so.
