I love this pinion incense. It’s made in Santa Fe, New Mexico and smells just like the house did when we burned Pinion wood in the fireplace in …Santa Fe, New Mexico! I’m loving it. BTW, for those of you who may not realize it, New Mexico is actually a State. It’s between Arizona and Texas. (A lot of Americans don’t realize that! One friend asked me what kind of money we use there. LOL) I miss living in New Mexico and this incense makes my house feel like I’m home again!

This piñon incense is one of my favorite aromas. It smells like a southwestern campfire and is so relaxing. We burn it almost every evening.

I am more inclined towards resin and oil incense than just pure wood, so that's where I'm coming from in this. These are compressed bricks of what I would say is sawdust. They are all packed in a plastic bag together and do shed dust. I burned one like I would burn a cone, on a brass holder. Using a torch lighter they are not too difficult to light and burn well provided you ignite evenly on the top of a vertically standing brick. These give off the aroma of a lit fireplace on a cold dark night. There is very little scent from resins or oils, it's not going to smell like that. It's really just burning wood with a very slightly sweet scent that balsam would give off. I really enjoy it for what it is and I think these are good value for the price if you're into that. I had no problems keeping these lit, they burn right through. They do however give off a lot of smoke. Much more than I'd like in my home, so I probably won't burn these much. But they are good bricks and I did enjoy the homey vibes.

The balsam is absolutely fantastic but they burn very quickly and more than half of them were broken in half 😭

A very nice box of incense. The Alder came properly sealed and undamaged. We’ve used this incense for decades but never purchased from Amazon before. Strangely, the Hickory we bought çame opened, somewhat crushed (both the box and its contents) and smelled awful when lit. It also burns in about a minute, whereas the Alder burns slowly and smells like the familiar product.

We bought a little incense burner when traveling through New Mexico that had some of these incense blocks that smelled wonderful, but we burned them all. Then, we ordered these, and they barely smell like anything at all, except smoke. You have to stick your nose 3 inches from the candle to get any hint of Pinon at all. They're worthless. I wish I knew who made the original incense blocks that came with the burner.

Good Product. Use it when My Fireplace is on to See the Fire. Then Smell the Pinion Burning

Please do not purchase this product, there is absolutely no fragrance at all, I was looking for mild fragrance, however, there is zero fragrance, money wasted.

It is difficult to find a cedar incense that doesn't have a chemical smell, but these bricks are great! A nice gentle, clear fragrance distinctly cedar, without any other smells. The bricks light easily, and burn about 15 minutes. Definitely a winner!
