GREAT blower
Great blower. Love yhe varied blow speeds. Turbo is great for big jobs wit low speed nice for smaller jobs. A little hard to pop the battery off nut charges quickly and lasts. Would buy agsin.

Shockingly Good Power!
I can't believe the power this leaf blower has! This was my introductory purchase into the EGO lineup and it did not disappoint. I've had different battery and plug in powered equipment in the past and they all underperformed to a fault. We bought this particular blower for a half acre lot and I feared it was just going to have enough power for touch-up jobs here and there but I was wrong! I can almost always get the entire job done on the two provided batteries unless leaves have gotten super wet or matted down. This thing KICKS leaves up and away like the performance of a similar sized gas blower. Large nuts and other debris get tossed as well with directed air flow. Charging times are great and I can usually get a battery most of the way charged before the other runs out if I time things out correctly. This is still battery powered though! You have to be realistic about your battery capacity to run time ratio. If you're using turbo or high without a break you're gonna be running back to the charger for a top up much more freuqently. Using 100% power or turbo only when needed will net much longer leaf cleanup sessions. This doesn't really matter, cause even at 50% this thing still MOVES leaves! The blower size, weight and ergonomics are very manageable and the provided support strap/sling makes jobs comfortable and less exhausting!

Amazing Blower, even Compared to Gas
I wanted not to like it for the price, but it’s pretty amazing. I’ve used gas and electric ones, and this leaf blower “blows” the rest away. I genuinely was surprised at the power. The battery on turbo doesn’t last forever, but its strength is amazing and doesn’t take too long to charge back up. The charger is loud, which is weird, like a fan blowing, but it’s in the garage so not a big deal. Can honestly say it’s worth the price given the air flow and weight compared to a gas powered. Can’t speak to how long it will work as I just got it today and used it all day. Happy to update if anything changes.

Ditch your gas blower, you won't be disappointed
Prior to purchasing my Ego 650 Blower I owned an Echo gas leaf blower that I received from a friend for free since it didn't work. IhHad to invest $80 right off the bat to have it rebuilt and working well. It worked great for the entire time I owned it but after finding the Ego family of tools I decided to make the switch. This was my first purchase in the Ego family since it's a relatively low cost commitment (compared to some of the other tools) and readily available. Let me tell you what, I have loved this tool every day since I have had it! Power: Easily just as powerful as my Echo. I won't say more since it's not a dramatic difference but there are so many other reasons I love this tool over the gas alternatives that I'll talk about below. Run time: This particular model ones comes with the 5ah battery but any of the Ego batteries will work in it; 2.5ah, 7.5ah, 10ah, or the anticipated 12ah. They will all work if you want a longer run time you can get one of the larger batteries but there will be a weight difference with each of these. Larger ah = larger battery = heavier. But with regard to the 5ah, I would say typically 30-40 minutes at full throttle. There is also a TURBO button that will blow you away (pun intended) and this will reduce that run time down to about 20 minutes ish. Sound low? Realistically, I am rarely running this continuously at full throttle. You stop to pick up sticks or grab a drink or the kids jump in your pile of leaves so your 30-40 min turns into longer. Compared to my Echo, this is about the same for a tank of gas. MAYBE a little longer run time on the gas but it certainly wasn't a lot. Ease of use: Simple. No gas, no mixing, no pulling a cord, no choke, no fumes, no waiting for it to "warm up" before you get full performance. Slide your battery into the slot and hit the button. You're blowing instantly. My wife used it one time to blow some dirt out of the garage and I got a text "Why didn't you tell me this thing was so much fun!?" She's on to me! Uses: It doesn't just blow leaves. I also enjoy woodworking and this is where I use the tool the most. When building a project in my garage things tend to get dusty. I can have this on the floor and whenever I need to clean up the space after some cuts, I can do it quickly with no extra fumes or having to start it every time. I also use it to dry my truck off after I wash it. I live in Colorado and we get snow, so I've used it to clear off the driveway, stairs, porch, and vehicles (there may be some static shock with this use so heads up on that.) This will come with a basic charger that will charge your battery back to full in a few hours but if you go with some of the larger Ego products (snow blower, mower) they will come with a rapid charger that will charge the battery from dead to full in less than an hour. Amazon also has the rapid charger for purchase. This is a long way of saying this is an amazing tool and you won't regret this purchase. There is a brand new model with more power (765 CFM) but this bad boy will not disappoint.

Good power, heavy battery.
This company makes superb products. It has plenty of battery life, although my yard is large and I have to recharge in order to blow all the leaves off. If I supplement using a wired blower I can finish without the recharge. I also can use the battery from the EGO weed wacker which is convenient. The variable speed trigger is easy to hold in. There is also a trigger lock so you don't have to hold it the whole time. There is a turbo button on the handle. Turbo is not needed unless you have a big pile of leaves and need to get them to the street quickly. I imagine using Turbo a lot will deplete the battery quickly. I don't know how long the recharge takes. It's not particularly quick. There are LEDs on the battery to show how much of a charge it has which is a nice feature. The only reason for not giving five stars has to do with balance. Because the battery is so big, the unit is on the heavy side. I'm 5'8 and when I hold the the unit with my arm fully extended the nozzle wants to touch the ground, and the air won't come out. I have to use my wrist to keep the nozzle from touching the ground and after a while of blowing leaves my wrist starts to hurt. There is no way to adjust the balance. The unit comes with 2 nozzles. I find that flattened one works better than the rounded one. I was glad to ditch my old two stroke model for something that doesn't vibrate much, is quieter and environmentally friendly.

AMAZING MACHINE!
My journey began when my gardener went out of business, and no one was available right away to clean up my yard. I'm a 5'7" mid-size female. I bought my first blower vac by Worx just before purchasing the Ego Power 880 Blower, and I wanted to dedicate the Worx solely as a vacuum. So, after learning about CFM and MPH, I wanted to get the strongest blower I could find. So, this is my first time using a blower. I never used the blower on the Worx, just the vacuum setting, which is fantastic. I have fake grass in my front yard, and I made the mistake of having my entire backyard landscaped in rocks! Terrible decision! The fake grass is fantastic with the vac and blower! But the rocks are a challenge... UNTIL NOW! Except for the weeds! Eek! But I got a great workout pulling those, and the plan is to use an electric sprayer with vinegar to keep them at bay! Ok, back to the Ego Power 880... If weight is a concern, the machine is lightweight. It's easy to carry. It includes a shoulder strap, so you don't need to get the add-on for the 880 cfm. It holds one 52-volt monster battery that feels like it weighs 1 to 2 pounds, which feels heavier than the machine itself. It has a 45-minute run time per battery. It came with 2. It charges rapidly. But the charger does make noise, which is not bad at all. I charge mine in the garage. In a minute, the whole cemented side yard was cleared of maple spinners. And I went on a spree, blowing the windows, the patio, and anything I felt looked dusty. I tested it on the rocks in the backyard, and although it rained yesterday, it still blew out the wet maple seeds. A few rocks do go flying, but it's not a big deal, and it's expected. It didn't affect the landscaping whatsoever. It cleared the spinners out instantly and refreshed the look of the rocks immediately. It's amazing. Now I get it when people say it's fun to use. IT'S SO FUN, I LOVE IT! POWERFUL!!!!!!!!! And lightweight! This thing is like carrying a purse. Unlike a vac, it strictly blows dust away so it doesn't get dirty the way a vac/blower/mulcher does. But I still like to use bleach wipes to clean my equipment out of love and care. I am in love with this machine! I have a dedicated wheeled cart just to hold my blower vacs, extensions, and charging apparatus. And I can't wait for the snow, because I'll be on top of it as soon as 8 am strikes, using this machine every day like it's my favorite workout equipment! So, I won't need to hire anyone to do my yard work anymore! GET THIS MACHINE! You will LOVE it!

Wonderful Quality Blower
I purchased this to use on cars for my auto detailing business. I chose this model because of the high CFM. Other options CFM is lower and reviews were not the greatest. Boy am I happy I went with this model. Very high output and such a quality unit. Even with the battery attached, it still is very enjoyable to use. The weight is balanced nice to it doesn't lean forward or backward in the hand. The battery and charger are very nice and seem to charge back up in no time. This has also been used for yard work and passes with flying colors.

Incompatible with old batteries!!! 2.5ah won’t work
I checked with customer service and they are aware the old batteries don’t work with it. They just chose not to tell shoppers. So 1 star. After using it a bit, I’m updating my review. The original is at the bottom. So I tried using this blower with a 2.5ah battery that I had from older Ego tools and it doesn’t work. This blower only works with the 5ah it comes with!!!! Dropping it down to 3 stars for that and one other problem. The balance and length are off. I’m 6’1 and the thing is too long to use for very long with the weight and balance. It causes the tip to touch the ground so you have to bend your arm to lift it up. This causes fatigue if you use it for a long time. Performance wise it’s very good and quieter than other blowers so it still gets 3 stars but I think they provide a strap for a reason! I’m going to try it out but stupid design to make it like they did. A trick I use is to remove the tip which makes it shorter. Then you can use it without causing fatigue. Without the tip it loses some of the power or focus but better than a sore arm. If the strap ends up helping I’ll update my review but overall for this being the best leaf blower on the market I’m disappointed. I have a discontinued craftsman v60 that was a better purchase but the battery died and they no longer sell it. So in summary: good power and works well with 5ah battery but doesn’t work with 2.5ah batteries. You have to remove the tip for it to be balanced and comfortable to use. Also without the battery attached it isn’t stable sitting on the ground. But having used it this fall on wet leaves and rough surfaces it works well. If I had to go back I’d try the top of the line ryobi since the smaller batteries from other Ego tools don’t work anyways (I have two 2.5ah batteries that still work fine with other tools). It’s nice having a 5ah battery to use with the string trimmer but I would try the ryobi and compare. It’s too late to return this ego now so I’m stuck with it. Oh well… amazons return policy is weak. Everywhere else is 90 days… lesson learned! Original review: I have a few leaf blowers. From an old gas two stroke model, a first gen Ego, discontinued 60v craftsman, and this brand new one, it’s the best. The original Ego blower I had didn’t have a variable trigger. Which made it terrible. The craftsman 60v was really good and what I used for years but they discontinued the entire line. Sooo what to do when it died? Well Amazon had this one on sale! No brainer as long as they fixed the trigger and it’s as strong as the craftsman. It is and the 5ah battery this kit comes with lasts a lot longer than the old 2.5ah one I had. Only downsides are the battery is big. Don’t be fooled by the photos. It IS a 5ah battery. Double the normal size. With no battery on the blower it’s front heavy and droops. With the battery it’s fairly balanced. But still scrapes the ground with tip attachments on. I do have long arms but I suspect this will be the most annoying thing about it. I plan to take the attachments off next time I use it to see how it works without it. Anyways it puts out a lot of air. It can move any debris including solid chunks of stuff from gaps between concrete if it’s loose enough. I tested it on some areas that don’t normally blow clean and this one worked! Even the gas blower didn’t get all the debris out from the tree roots and other craggy areas. I had fairly high expectations because my old ones were pretty good but this model is actually worth it. It lives up to its specs, hype etc. if you can get it on sale, don’t hesitate! And keep in mind this comes with a double size battery and fast charger. So it’s a no brainer especially when just a battery costs a couple hundred by itself
