3 CARBS PER SERVING! 👏🏽 WOOHOOOOO! 🙌🏾
3 CARBS PER SERVING!!! 🤷🏻♀️ DUH! What else do you need to know? I’m not that picky (I’m diabetic and this is 3 CARBS PER SERVING, yaaaawooo!), but if you *are* picky, and you want a more *authentic texture*, a rougher ‘mouth feel’, then mix in a couple teaspoons of the *regular* jasmine or Basmati rice, or whatever everyone else is stuffing in their face, and it will ,make a big difference. Come on! It’s 3 CARBS PER SERVING, right?? What’s not to like, really? You can have 2 servings in your bowl and that’s STILL less than 1 carb of insulin (unless you added some regular rice, you have to count some extra carbs for that) and also add some for the sauce (sauce probably has some sugar somewhere in there 🙄, but that’s a whole other thing). REGULAR rice has like 4000-.million carbs, so really 🤦🏻♀️😢😭, you should pretty much NEVER eat it (unless you take a ton of insulin before your birthday dinner,,but that’s just once a year)! Anyway, try this! Do whatever you want with it! And there are noodles too! Spaghetti noodles, angel hair( sort of like cellophane rice noodles), fettuccini… Ahhh, it’s all good. And 3 CARBS PER SERVING!! 😮😊😃😄😂🤣 👏😇

Convenient
The rice is a nice alternative for those on a limited diet. The smell can be off putting but, it absorbs flavors from your dish well. It is simple to heat up. I don't love if compared to starchy rice but this is a great alternative.

Very high price for two individual samples
I haven’t tried konjac noodles or rice before, but I absolutely love konjac jelly drink pouches. These little packets are quick and easy to prepare. I thoroughly rinsed and drained the packet, each of which contain just a handful of “rice” or “noodles,” and added them (separately) to a pan of bubbling ramen broth. Of note, there is a somewhat off-putting smell at first, but it goes away after rinsing throughly. The noodle texture was firm, chewy, and bouncy, with no discernible taste other than the broth it had absorbed. I don’t monitor my blood sugar so I can’t speak to that, but I do find myself incredibly hungry two hours later. Normally I don’t get hungry for at least 4-5 hours. I have no complaints about the taste and I wouldn’t mind having it again, if it wasn’t for the price. While I appreciate the nutritional value of less carbs/more fiber and the increased cost of preparing konjac noodles versus noodles made from wheat/rice, the current listing price of $12.99 US is just way too high for tiny sample sizes. Each packet is not even a full individual serving - it really is just a sample of each. Each pouch fits in the palm of my hand and includes water that needs to be drained. I’m sure it’s a high quality product, but I would still be disappointed if this was half the price. I’ve seen full-sized packages of konjac noodles at the store for half the price.

Konjac Rice
This is my first time ordering the Konjac Rice. It came quick and as advertised it was the Konjac Rice prepackaged in water. Very easy to cook following the instructions provided on the box. The only thing is and it’s not the fault of the seller, this kind of rice is expensive. 10 small packs of rice for over $20 is not worth it to me when comparing to traditional rice. I know they are not the same but I will be trying to find another non carb solution for my dietary needs.

Doomsday Supplies!
Rice: Small rubber pellets with little to no flavor up front, and an off lingering aftertaste. It's a definite Yuck for me. I would eat them as a last resort.
