Works as advertised
Replaced the pump in GMC Sierra (2500 v8). Turned on, works fine.It ended up being the crankshaft timing sensor though, so ultimately replacing the fuel pump was a wasted effort. The crankshaft sensor was less than $100 bucks and took about 10minutes to install. The symptoms I had was the car randomly wouldn't start but it would turn over. I had already ordered the fuel pump when I finally decided to test the fuel pressure (very easy to do). When I checked the pressure (turn the ignition key to start, without cranking it), I then turned off the key to make sure the fuel pump held pressure which it did. This was the first indication that it had nothing to do with the fuel pump, but I decided to go ahead and replace it anyway.a few hours later, it started fine (the crankshaft timing sensors temperature had cooled off and started functioning again). It ended up not starting the next day, so I stopped by auto parts store, bought the sensor, threw it in and it started right up.I'm just writing this in case someone is in a similar situation. CHECK the fuel pressure first, if everything looks good, skip the replacement of the fuel pump.

Just buy this!!
This is the 3rd vehicle I have used this pump on. Perfect everytime, over 1 1/2 years since the first one in my suburban and still no problems. Just buy this one and save a ton money over oem.
