Best solid tube dobsonians
Very happy with my upgrade to the FL 10”- it’s a better design than the other dobsonians due to its tube rings. You can rotate it in the rings to whatever angle you want and easily balance any eyepiece and accessories no matter the weight. Has 2 dovetail mounts so you can have more than one finder without having to put tape or drill into your new telescope like the other brands are missing. The focuser is very high quality and I was surprised to find I didn’t miss a fine tuning knob on high magnification but you can buy it off their website if you still want it. The large altitude wheels are smooth and allow for another place to hold when tracking objects and it also spreads potential wear over time to a larger surface area. The better price point gave me more budget for choosing my own accessories like eyepieces.
