Nice.
The optics seem fine, and I'm sure this lens will do the job, but the primary focus ring is very stiff. A tripod and focus rail will definitely be necessary and it will be completely impractical for portrait work. I guess it's just a cheap intro to macro lenses.I need to revise my previous review. Amazon replaced my first lens with a new one that functions smoothly and I like very well. Thanks, Amazon.

This MEKE 85mm F2.8 lens is MANUAL
. had this lens for a month. As a layman and experienced amateur fotographer I think it is excellent. It not only works as a macro lens, enabling me to get excellent pics of insects, it also works as an 85mm portrait lens. Please understand this is a manual lens, no autofocus if you please. Manual focus is quite easy once you catch on to how it works--you are setting the focus, not the camera.

Great lens for flowers!
I’ve really enjoyed this lens! The shots look great on my lumix G7. It says that it’s also a portrait lens but I mostly use it for flowers and plant life. The lens is very heavy and feels very durable but because it’s length and heft it does take some getting use to after switching from meike 25mm lens.

Fantastic Macro Lens
This lens is a fantastic macro lens. So much better than the lumix 30mm I was using previously. I had to get WAY to close to my subject with it. But, with this one I have plenty of room to work with.

nice for the price
it is a nice lens for the price. you have to work to get nice shots since the focus is not automatic, and have to be very fast with moving insects, but once you find the sweet spot you are set
