Buy The Art of Perfumery 1 by Piesse, G. W. Septimus (ISBN: 9781514815816) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: A bit dated - Pros: a somewhat decent overview of scent extraction and use. I learnt a few things. Cons: what era was this written in? There's no publication date, page numbers, or anything about the publisher. The language is obscure, referring to 'perfumes for the handkerchief', using hundred weights as a measurement, and at one point suggesting using asbestos to soak up a scent. The use of quotation marks left me confused, until I realised it meant ditto, but the lack of commas and bullet points makes deciphering some of the recipes a codebreaker's game. Also, some characters didn't translate, marked as _ . Overall, it's legible but badly edited, dated, but with a lot of content that's still relevant, although please don't follow the advice about asbestos. Review: Bought for a friend who is obsessed with perfumes, I can’t wait to give it to her

Estoy haciendo una investigación y este libro trae poca información comienzo a sospechar que la edición quitó la información sustancial, también parece que no pasó por el proceso de diseño editorial, las páginas parecen un escaneado bien impreso.

Great book for knowledge points on perfumery.

I bought this to get some more insight into the theory and artistry of mixing perfumes, and it's great information. However, this particular edition seems lacking. There are often random punctuation following some words, references to page numbers (none of the pages in this book are numbered), and references to illustrations (there are none).
