Perfect Kit for Differential and Transfer Case Fluid Change on 4WD 4Runner
Used this kit to replace the front and rear differential fluid, as well as the transfer case fluid, on my 2001 Toyota 4Runner (4WD). Used on a 2018 Rav4 worked great for both rear differential and the front transaxle gear fluid drain and fill.You are supposed to drive it and recheck the fill level so I only tightness the full side 10mm to 21ftp drove a mile or so then checked and tightened to 28ftp.I figured once it's bent to 28ftp it really can't work as well so hench who I only did 22ftp to snug it nice for the drive but not yet crush it as far as 28ftp would go.Very happy with the crush washers. So far I haven't used anything else because I already changed my Transmission fluid and filter. "Stealerships" typically WON'T change your transmission fluid filter when changing your fluid for you! First time I did was at ~98K and there was gray SLUDGE on the filter media. This time I changed it early because of suspicious noise at 129K and it was just gray but not sludged up at all.Remember the transmission filter does NOT come with a *new* gasket. You definitely need a new rubber o-ring style gasket when replacing because the old one swells up and won't fit well if reusing.These were much cheaper than buying from a Yota dealer!
