Not a bad book for someone new to Lancers.
I had already bought Brian Long's other book 'Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution' and was not at all aware that this is the exact same book with a different cover and title so was somewhat annoyed by that. This title does have a new chapter in it covering the Evo 9, but it should be advertised as such. So for anyone who has neither book, just buy this one. Other than that, the book(s) are about one third on the history of the lancer itself so the title should really reflect this as I was under the impression that the book was on Lancer Evolutions exclusively. Not to say that the Lancer and Mitsubishi history isn't interesting and informative, it is, but again the publishers should describe these books more accurately as in my case I have bought 2 books that not only are the same, but contain mostly information I already had...On the positive side, there is a lot of good historical information, interviews, photos are ok, and some technical data. I found very few mistakes in the book and for someone with no knowledge of these cars or someone just starting out, it would be a very excellent resource and is the best English language book i've seen on these cars to date. Also, it is hardcover and very well presented and should last a long time.

every Lancer evolution owner should have this book. absolutly full of details. from the first steeps of Mitsubishi company as a shipping company till the last of the evos the X.

excellent informational book
this is a great history of the lancer evo, but not a history of its modification or a how to guide. Its purely a historical book that has lots of EVO brochure information and is well written. A must for any Mitsubishi lancer or lancer EVO owner because it goes over the history of both.

Great review of all Evo's up until now
I own a 2005 Evo VIII and pre-ordered this book so I can learn about the previous models. A must have for the Evo owner and those looking to learn about the great tradition that follows these cars and the 4G63 engine. Great pricing from Amazon as well.

Great Evo book!
This book does a great job of telling the story of the Evo. Very well-researched and full of details that Evo fans will love. I highly recommend this book.

très Interessant
Un des rares ouvrages traitant de la lancer EVO , avec beaucoup de photos, reprenant l'historique et la technique de ces véhicules. J'aurais juste peut être préféré un peu plus de détails techniques et moins sur l'historique des rallyes. Tout de même un très bon ouvrage en anglais que je recommande.
