Nordic Ware Beehive Cake Pan, 10 Cup, Toffee

Lovely! Sturdy, heavy/thick, high-quality, long-lasting material. Smooth-textured interior--sprayed with PAM, the cake quickly and easily comes out of the pan. Tip: after placing icing between the two sides, use 2 pencil-thin dowels left to right to ensure that the two halves stay together. We placed the bee hive on a rectangular cake, and then placed two very thin dowels top to bottom through each half to stabilize it through the base cake. Works very well with Wilton 'star' tips. I used a little paint brush to apply the black icing on the bees, and then used thin writing to to apply the yellow stripes. I used a large writing tip to apply the white wings. Base cake: Wilton grass tip. Amazon has some great resin Pooh Bear & friends to add to the cake. We pushed a few animals into the sides of the cake, and then had some on top. Very cute! Don't forget the crumb coat and refrigerate, before decorating. Okay, I think I have covered all the bases, LOL! Wait! If you use a mix, plan to use 2 boxes. It really does take 10 cups of batter. Storage? Well, it is a little bulky, but easily stored with the hive molds down. That way you can store jellyroll or cookie pans on top. P.S. MADE IN the USA~! Yipee!

The pan quality is great. The cake is adorable. I used the recipe that came with it and I also made one with my own recipe. The recipe with the pan turned out better but probably because it was the perfect amount of batter. Had no trouble getting the cake out if you follow the instructions of greasing and putting flour in it. Had so many compliments on the cake. Definitely recommend!

I had been wanting this cake pan for a while. Put it on the back burner kind of thing get later. Then my 'BAKE' Magazine showed up for the month and it featured this pan and some of the other Nordic ware Bee themed pans for recipes. It was a done deal and meant to BEE for me 😁 ( sorry about all the puns, I am a bee person) sprayed it really well with vegetable oil spray and a baking flour spray for a nice coat on added the cake mix and in about 30 minutes it was done and beautiful 😍 this was a Vanilla Orange zest and honey cake with a vanilla glaze. It also had Caramelized white chocolate in the middle to hold the two pieces together. My husband brought it to work and everyone loved it! The cake was easy out of the pan and easy to clean afterwards. Love it! Thanks Nordic Ware and Amazon 🍯

The price gave me pause BUT this was worth every single penny!!! The recipe included was perfect (we did hollow out some of the middle and filled it with lemon curd - it came oozing out when cut and looked just like honey flowing!) People just couldn’t get over how cute it was! And, in all my years making manyyy cakes, I’ve never had such a huge impact from such little work! It’s very well made, high quality material and was a snap to clean. I’d recommend this to anyone.

I was worried the batter would stick but it didn’t. Comes with a recipe and I ordered the candy bees to add. Wish it was a little larger capacity…

The pan is a really nice high-quality pan and definitely worth the money. I was going to return it because it was smaller and shorter than I wanted, but I decided to keep it and make an 8” cake to put underneath to give it some height. The pan makes a cake that is approximately 7” diameter by 6-1/4” tall.

I was originally going to buy a cheaper version of this but after reading reviews of all, I chose this Nordikware. It is great. Be careful and DO NOT fill up the batter to the top. You should definitely leave about 1.5 inches or more below the top. Otherwise, you will have to cut off lots of cake. Use the rest of the batter for cupcakes!

Love this Pan! It baked beautifully coated the pan well with butter and cake flour so the cakes popped right out with ease. Clean up was a breeze. I am very happy with the details in the cake. The honey cake recipe that came with the pan was not near enough batter for the size of the pan (So I will revamp the recipe for next time) and I added 1 tbsp of lemon zest to the batter and it worked in perfect balance with the honey, so delicious! Very happy with my purchase of this pan :{)

Well made mould - love the Nordicware brand for a reliable mould! makes a beautifully shaped cake, but I've lost the recipe that came with it :(
