Amazing in every way
This book is amazing! As a huge fan of the show I am absolutely in love with the book! It takes place after season 1, through the several month gap between the seasons, and into the season 2. So its probably best to wait to read this until after watching all of season 1 and 2 so as not to spoil anything.SEASON 1 AND 2 SPOILERS!!!!!The plot follows Elliot Alderson an antisocial, mentally unstable, hacker, who has just taken part in hacking the biggest conglomerate in the world and effectively put in motion a major redistribution of wealth that will equalize the classes and knock the big wig millionaires down a notch; but it didn't quite work out as planned. Now that things have not turned out perfectly and Elliot who had been having second thoughts has no memory of the night he initiated the hack, and his alter ego/dead imaginary father figure Mr. Robot refuses to tell him what happened.Following the hack which is called the 5/9 Hack, Elliot is arrested and sent to jail for a hack he did against his therapists boyfriend, which resulted in Elliot taking the mans dog, Flipper and forcing him to revel that he was cheating on his wife and using a fake name to see Krista, Elliot's therapist.During Elliot's stay in jail he keeps a journal, that he names Red Wheelbarrow, and writes in everyday several times a day to keep track of his movements and to monitor if Mr. Robot takes over leaving him with gaps in his memory. This journal delves into Elliot's mind in a way the show couldn't, it develops his character incredibly and really blurs the line between fiction and reality. This journal brings you through his struggles with Mr. Robot becoming violent towards him and the difficulties he faces simply as a lone prisoner dealing with gangs and other inmates.END OF SPOILERSSo in conclusion if you enjoy the show and are interested in delving a little deeper into the mind of Elliot then this book is a must buy. The fact that it's written by the shows creator Sam Esmail means Elliot truly comes alive in the pages and there is no disconnect between the version of Elliot in the TV show and the version seen in this book.

YES
If you're a Mr robot fan like me, you need to own this. I personally, honestly, could've done without the Carla notes but I get it. Anyways it's got some cool mementos in it which is always a plus. I'm not going to say anything about the content though, that's on you to see for yourself

Great so far~
Just received it and began reading the same day. I love the amount of detail put into it. From the inside to the outside it is a greatly designed book. Also fills in a lot of things the audience didn't know during season two.I do wish however 'Carla' wasn't such an integral part of the notebook. This character kind of takes away from certain things in Elliot's story with pretty unnecessary, distracting and hypocritical opinions. Very unlikeable character(which is saying a lot considering there are a lot of unlikeable characters in the series.) Somehow he is being pushed as a bigger part in Elliot's story than he actually was. Especially since we only saw him in perhaps two(maybe even one) scenes during the second season? That's about my only gripe about the book thus far as I'm still reading. Also, before ordering I had no item random items of Elliot were within the book. It was a nice surprise stumbling upon the first 'artifact' and then turning the notebook over to find the description saying there were more. I've always loved books like this as a kid. So it's nice to find something like this being made again to enjoy as an adult.

INCREDIBLE attention to detail, a must have for any Mr. Robot fan
If you’re debating buying this book- do it now. You get more than your money’s worth, with little details and attachments that you can explore. The book also fills you in on some more details from season 2 that you may have wondered about. The book itself looks exactly like a real journal, and if I didn’t know better- I would believe the pencil writing is real. You can tell a lot of work went into creating this, so if you’re a fan of the show I 100% recommend!

This book inside and out looks like it's straight from the television show based on how ...
The new Red Wheelbarrow book by Sam Esmail is another way of fans connecting with the Mr. Robot universe and going beyond just watching the show over and over again to try and find the little details, thoughts and easter eggs the show has for its fans. This book provides spoilers for the show so if you haven't watched the show already this book will spoil the inner thoughts of some of the main characters. This book inside and out looks like it's straight from the television show based on how it was meant to look burnt and all the hand writing that is done from multiple people and different colors and the little things included in the book make the experience so much better. If you're a fan of the show and want to dive into a little more of the minds of some of the characters and learn a little more about them and the show, then this book is definitely a pick up.

A TREAT FOR ALL MR. ROBOT FANS!
A look into the PERSONAL thoughts of one of the most intriguing protagonists in television today? Uh, yes please! The character of Elliot Alderson is so relatable to me so the fact that Sam Esmail went and gave us this GIFT, Elliot's journal? I don't think I could thank him enough. I love how it's not just Elliot's thoughts in the journal, but Mr. Robot's as well. The contrast of the two is amazing and there's even another character who we didn't see much of in season 2 (unfortunately) who writes their commentary on Elliot and Mr. Robot's words as well! The journal is so realistic looking, with all kinds of clues, some of which will tie things from season 2 together and some of which that will no doubt tie into the upcoming season 3!If you love the show, get this journal. No, I'm not kidding.

It's a work of art, just like the show.
Every detail is perfectly done. From the handwriting being just legible to read, to the slip outs that just add to that feeling of realism. It doesn't feel like a show tie in. Or even like a prop, it feels like Elliot's journal. It even has a few notes added along the way from Hot Carla. No spoilers here. It's very much tied to season 2 so don't go into this book prior to seeing that. It's one of the nicest things I have ever bought.

Amazing
I bought this book/journal being a fan of the show feeling it would be an interactive experience reading more into Elliot's thoughts. I was not disappointed. I was amazed by how real it felt with the handwriting, drawings and pull outs. I loved reading the entires about Elliot's day to day life in prison and even found myself laughing a few times as he can be funny despite all the suffering he goes through. I also felt that I got to know him better as well. I literally tore through it in two days because I was hardly able to put it down. If you love Mr Robot and the main character I would definitely recommend it.

What an incredible book!
I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas as he's an avid Mr Robot fan. This book did not disappoint! There is sooo much in there including lots of very lifelike extras (postcards/receipts with writing on the back etc) which really brings it to life - felt like it was a real life artefact.

An essential for Mr Robot fans.
Season 2 was an amazing season and to have it expanded upon is amazing. Don't read this before the show though, I don't think anyone is though. It builds upon everything you'd hope. Removable items are amazing and reading's now fun.
