Official Morton product.
If you have a Morton's water softener and you see "CLEAN" flashing on the display, this is what you need to clean it. Pricey yes, but necessary to keep your softener in good working condition, especially if you live in a city that has hard water. We checked a number of resources for best price and found Amazon to have best value price. It's a one time use and be sure to follow the directions on the bottle.

It works water tasted bad right after use for short time
This stuff cleaned our water softener after 9 years never been cleaned before. I followed directions pouring the entire bottle into the brine tank tube. Then immediately starting a REGEN cycle manually. The dark blue color can easily be seen in the brine tank if your salt level is low. After the REGEN finished I noticed our tap water had an awful chemical taste ! As another reviewer noted, the bad taste quickly went away after someone took a shower. Now the bad taste is gone. I wish the bottle warned about how the bad taste will quickly fade away but it does work.
