Fun for family game night
Strategic family game. Kids ages 9-40 enjoy playing. We have all the expansion packs for it

Great game to play often
Survive game is fun to play. the Expansion adds a bit of flair to an already fun game. the expansion kind of clutters the board, but if you know what you're doing, it definitely makes it more interesting. House Rules, rule!

Almost perfect expansion
Add's more life to the game. The old Whale is back (Meh). But now there is a Kraken which makes the whale more useful and the Sea Serpent less so. The Pterodactyl is the star. It moves through the air and avoid hazards and has unlimited distance. With its only drawback of 6 directions of movement (plenty) and can't occupy Kaiju or Volcano spaces. Shark is now relegated to neglect. Added Eggs (player chosen creature spawn) and new Piranha tiles (add a new hazard to an area) to spice up the game. Unfortunately, they didn't add a player expansion as well to make the game 6 player. Would have loved to have seen this. Since I play at my local library on a 48-inch round table with 6 other people. I never get the chance to play this game there. Overall, it's a great expansion and could have been amazing with a 6th player. More life and options are added to the game. Start of the chaos also beings sooner to avoid slow starts and early escapes.

A must-have among all BG afficionados
This is one of the best competitive board games ever made, without overloading players with too much to think about while still offering plenty of cerebral space (and no shortage of comedy when players' adventurers get eaten by monsters whose control is cleverly rotated among players). I don't know anyone who dislikes this title.

Great Expansion
Excellent expansion. Adds more fun to an already fun game. Very easy to throw in with the core game. Monster tokens are nice wooden creature shapes. If you really like the base game get this too. Adds a little more variety.

More monsters, equals more fun!
Survive The Island is a big hit and my game nights and those expansion make it even more fun. More monsters more laughs as we seek to destroy the other players. You need to add this to your fun!

The monster pack is a must own expansion!
Survive the island Monster pack is a great addition to a great game. Should have been included in this remake of the game, but glad it is now available. A must own expansion for the enjoyment of the game.

La expansión llegó a tiempo y en buen estado. Muy buena expansión para el juego original, agrega más dificultad.

A small but interesting/fun expansion, which provides mostly extra monsters, but they are largely a success. They can be used either to entirely replace the existing ones by colour, or can even be combined, so that a player can choose whichever they would like. The flying pterodactyls are much more fun than the comparitively boring sharks, and the kraken provide a fun tweak to the sea serpents, including a single tentacle attack! That said, the whales aren't generally great compared to the kaiju, but you might want to use them occasionally. You also get helpful play aids for the new monsters. Then there are some other fun things: eggs which hatch out, and piranhas which can establish a death zone in certain parts of the island (somewhat under player control). Both are fairly easy to use, and add to the general chaos, especially with a lot of players. They both do involve some fiddling with the tiles before use. I personally prefer to replace tiles at random rather than follow the suggestion of removing monsters. Anyway if you want to spice up the game, this is quite a good way of doing so. And all the stuff fits easily into the original box! Recommended, if at a reasonable price.

Bought for grandson’s birthday and he loved it as an add on to his game. He couldn’t wait to play it when he opened the gift! A definite thumbs up.
