We replace these filters about once a year, and they work great! No leaks. Attached is a before-and-after pic of replacing after 1 year.

I am on a subscription for this item—great price. I have an APEC whole house filtration system. With this cartridge and the other that goes with it, we get very clear water. Faucets used to have a lot of build up but replacing these regularly eliminated the buildup.

I’ve had no issues no matter how long or leave them in. I have very muddy well water and this is the first stage of filtration. I’ve left it in there so long and it weighed 20 pounds with mud in it and it never ripped.
