OtterBox Defender Series Case & Holster for Galaxy Note8 (Screenless Edition) (Renewed) (Black)

This has been on my note 8 for about 4 months. I rate it a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. I first purchased a used one, however it was stretched out and it kept coming off the phone. I returned that and bought a brand new one. Problem solved, I'll buy this again for my next phone.

I initially bought this case style for my Galaxy Note 8 when I purchased my phone.The refurbished case seems brand new, and matches the original perfectly.My previous case went 2 years before succumbing to the rigors of a military member's life. I've dropped my previous case hundreds of times and some of the drops should have been catastrophic. The case really protects the phone.I do have some complaints. The case rubber stretches out over time. Especially when I would take my phone out of the case for cleaning at a regular interval. The case material does break down over time, so my previous case was thoroughly broken when I finally retired it after 2.5 years of use.Contacting OtterBox for warranty is nearly impossible. Dont bother. I used my PC, phone browser in Chrome and Samsung Internet, and my Work PC. None of those let me process a warranty claim via the internet. Never mind I entered my CC information into their site. Calling resulted in waiting too long and abandoning that method, which is what led me to purchase this refurb. For the price, it was $5 more than the warranty shipping cost and I received my case very quickly.So, while the case will eventually have its problems, I do think it is vastly superior to other designs. It has a good functionality and protects the phone very well.

I love it, I would always buy cheap phone cases and I always got what I paid for. Not this time. I bought this otter case for my brand new note 8 and it fits perfect. I can rest assure that nothing won't happened if I drop it by accident. I also bought a tempered glass and it fit perfect with the case. Double protection.

This is the 4th or 5th phone we have had this same cover for. We upgrade phones and buy these cases every time. My husband is rough on his phone and it is always protected. He got unlucky and cracked the back camera glass but that was from the way it dropped and landed on a corner just right. No fault of the case. Thin and easy to put on. Secure also. Would definitely recommend

Bought this because otterbox is well known to be the best case and holster for a phone. Unfortunately the reconditioned Version isn't what it's cracked up to be. Phone randomly would fall out of holster.... And finally resulting for me in damaging my phone from it being dropped and cracking the screen. Never again will I buy a reconditioned case and holster! I guess it's reconditioned for a reason.

I was hoping that the defender case would've had the front cover part kinda raised higher than the screen itself....cuz that would make more sense when it comes to protecting your phone I feel like if I were to accidentally drop my phone and it fell face down, the otterbox wouldn't even help since the screen is raised higher than the whole cover around the phone!! Unless you have the belt clip on...then its protected on one side..Well I'm just hoping that buying the defender case would protect my phone more than the commuter case

I've been using the Otter Defender on my phones for several years. I like them very much because they make the phone feel very solid. I'm super careful with my phone so I don't know how it would handle a substantial drop. The phone has been fine when accidentally dropped on carpet from a couple of feet.I'm finding a need to replace recent Otter Box covers more often, as the rubber becomes weak on all 4 corners within about 6 months. Not pleased with this.

Very happy with my purchase of a refurbished OtterBox defender for note 8 from this seller. I can't tell in any way that it isn't brand new factory fresh. I'm sure it's fully legit OtterBox brand. All markings, materials, casting marks, numbers, are just like or similar enough to the one I'm replacing I'm sure it's authentic. Very pleased. Only way to know it's refurbished is that "refurbished" is stamped in the back underside of the case.
