Let it Rain
These chain gutters are so easy to install. And I did use a twelve inch lawn staple to secure the bottom ring to the ground. Watching the rain below down the bowls is a mesmerizing beauty. And is a cherished accent to my gazebo.

It works beautifully and is beautiful.
I'm so freakin excited! This rain chain is awesome. We are close to finishing an addition of a covered front entrance. We have a copper roof and half round copper gutters. My husband wanted rain chains. We spent over $1,000 to get the rain chains he wanted custom made. The first rain after install the water from those chains went everywhere. We returned them (with a 20% restocking fee! 😩) . The first chains were so bad we actually got an estimate to change the pitch of our gutters and add downspouts along the house wall. Ugh! Over $1,000 more to do that! So, I really started researching. Long story short, due almost 100% to the reviews here (and the Monarch website which explains cup size, etc), I had reason to believe these might work, and for a fraction of the cost! I bought just one 8.5 length and figured I didn't have much to lose to just see. It took my husband about twenty minutes to install and later that day we had a hard rainfall. I'm going to upload a photo and videos because I would have hesitated even less if I had seen it in action. ....ugh, It's only letting me upload a photo (wasn't raining in this pick). Posted videos on YouTube, links in the comments.

Soothing to lazily watch and listen to during a rainy day.
This rain chain is beautiful and elegant and so soothing to lazily watch and listen to during a rainy day. My wife decided that we should install a rain barrel because there was an area of our rain gutter that would occasionally overflow during large storms. An added benefit is helping with water for the front lawn. The traditional rain barrel arrangements would have required adding an ugly downspout, fortunately while surfing Amazon, it recommended a rain chain, intrigued I searched some more and found this beauty. We've have 3 rainy days since I've installed it. I had to make a couple of adjustments to help manage the flow. If the water comes down too quickly, the chain will start to swirl due to the centrifugal force of the water essentially going through multiple little drains. Also, leaves and junk that make it through to the rain gutters can clog the holes on top resulting in water being forced over the edges and splashing the side of the house. I basically narrowed the top opening from the rain gutter and inserted a steel wool pad in the top bowl to act as a sieve. Has worked well since. The chain is easy to shorten, just bend the rods at the necessary cup and remove what you don't need. The unused bowls make great candles holders. I haven't had it long enough to notice any changes in color, hopefully the copper will age nicely. In the meantime, it looks fantastic. My neighbors have given me compliments on the setup. Highly recommend you get one.

Very Pleased - Easy Installation - Works Perfectly
This rain chain was purcahsed to alleviate a problem we have with an incorrectly-sloping gutter segment... and we like it so much that we're considering adding more. See attached images. Installation was easy (we did purchase the "Rain Chain Copper Gutter Installer" piece at the same time) - using a hole saw, we cut the appropriate diameter hole in the bottom of the offending gutter near the end, sprayed the area (per earler buyers comments) with a rubberized coating, then dropped in the installer. For a good seal, we sprayed over the top of the installer flange with the rubber coating. Just be sure to leave sufficient room between the hole and the end of the gutter for the flange on the installer. By the way, the installer has a bult-on flange and is supplied with an additional, slightly larger flange as well. We have 6" gutters, so I used both. Hanging the chain was then very straightforward. we did need to remove one cup for the length we needed, but that is quite easy. We also anchored the bottom of the chain using a 12" square piece of perforated aluminum we had on hand (a copper base is available for purchase, but seems unnecessary). River rock hides the aluminum and serves as a splash guard. We would not hesitate to recommend this product.

Quality Copper Rain Chain
This copper rain chain costs more than alternatives fashioned from copper plate, powder coated metal or aluminum. It is very well made and its quality will complement any home or landscape. Lotus flower details are appropriately simple and the cup is sized large enough to handle normal runoff. The reasonably heavy duty copper has a natural finish that will turn to a weathered patina in short order. It should long outlast less expensive options. Installation could hardly be easier and instructions are clear. It is made in India where they've been working with copper for about 4,000 years. With this Monarch rain chain, chance of buyer remorse is minimal. Would buy again.

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter and her family. They thought it was such a unique and attractive gift. The quality of the copper and the workmanship are just excellent and the individual lotus flowers are very beautiful. It is now hanging outside beside the living-room picture window. In a heavy rainstorm my grandchildren just love watching the water coming off the eaves trough and flowing from one copper lotus flower to the next. I am planning to buy another one this Christmas for my best friend because this one is already oxidizing into a beautifully burnished piece of garden art that the family treasures.

Well made. Exactly as described. One week out in the rain and already getting a lovely patina.

The online photo of the Copper Lotus Rain Chain does not do it justice. On sunny days, it reflects the sun and adds warmth to the decor. On rainy days, it is similar to a fountain, and brings Zen to the garden. We hung our chain on our cedar gazebo and I couldn't be more pleased with how it looks and works.
