Great for work in ceilings or tight spaces
Gives me just enough extra reach when in ceiling tiles and tight spaces to pull or redirect cables towards me. Compact enough I don't even notice it in my tool pouch but always there when I need it. Not the sturdiest tool but it's not designed to be. For larger jobs, glow rods with a hook at the end would be the way to go but in a pinch this hasn't failed me yet. No brainer to keep on you if you're in any low voltage/IT/Cabling industry.

Perfect retrieval tool for those with limited bending capacity.
As a Physician with spinal problems I must say this is a wonderfully compact tool for retrieving dropped objects like keys, etc. I recommend it to all my patients with impaired bending capacity. No more struggling in a parking lot after you drop your keys. I go nowhere with out it.

Handy Pool Tool
It is stainless steel and extends to about 3 feet. If desired it can go in your pocket as it has a "hook" to clip on your shirt/jacket. I find it very useful for removing my skimmer basket on the in ground pool.

Great Tool, wish it was stronger
I work for a broadband company as an installer. You constantly need to reach just a bit further and this thing gives you a few feet of reach. The hook is not in a fixed position so it will sometimes turn on you when you want it to stay straight but that's much better than not being able to reach at all.

A very handy tool for lighting/electrical, but super easy to lose so keep it on a lanyard!

Very useful tool
Love this hook, unfortunately it doesn’t last. I have probably broken 10 of them. Great for gently pulling on a cable but if you pull too hard it breaks

Had this for a couple of years...it works, but it's too light. It bends, and doesnt take a strong tug. If you're trying to tug 14/2 wire in a tight space, this tool isn't strong enough. Mine pulled apart eventually...way too expensive for its ability. You're paying for Greenlee name, but not the quality.
