Works well for my mom to give her back some core support and hold in the hernia. Not noticeable under clothing. Good Velcro strength and hold. Easy to use. Fit and design is as described.

The belt itself has a Velcro “bulge” that helps to keep the hernia from protruding. That bulge helps but isn’t nearly enough to actually keep the hernia pushed in. I was suffering from intestinal blockage because of the size of the hernia (2.5” diameter) yet surgery is not an option. I was having to walk around with my finger pushed into the hernia hole so that the intestines could function properly. This belt, coupled with a “plug” that was molded from Polly Plastics moldable plastic provided the solution. The hernia gets pushed back into the abdomen and then the plug is put in place. A cloth is put over where the belt overlap will be (that can get uncomfortable after 24 hours) and then the belt is put on. The belt has enough tension that it holds the plug in place. It is a comfortable support and, short of a hard cough, the hernia stays put. Now I can at least heal from the intestinal blockage issues. The setup is comfortable to wear day and night. It is a very good solution for me until surgery can be had. One of the features of the belt is that it has stiffeners sewn into it in two places which helps to keep it from scrunching up in the back. That greatly helps in keeping the full, comfortable support of the belt after a long day. I was uncertain about the belt size because the waist is 36 but the belly would be about 40. The small/medium belt was chosen and it has worked VERY well. There is enough elasticity in the belt that it could go a bit larger than 40”, but since it takes pressure to hold a hernia in then this belt size proved to be a winner for that purpose.

Works well enough, but is likely intended more for the healthy fitness types (without hernias) depicted in the promotional pictures and not us overweight worker bee types. When you snug the belt down tight the end with the pad (inner flap) can easily slip out of position and become less effective. Having a loop sewn on to the end to pass the long wrap portion through would be a massive improvement Or just widen the end by an inch or two and allow a slit to pass the wrapping portion through. Add in the velcro losing effectiveness over time and you have an interesting wardrobe malfunction in the making. Nothing like a ripping pop noise in the conference room during a lull in the conversation (ask me how I know) You though Jennifer Lawrence's reaction was funny...... It's comfortable enough to wear over a t-shirt, and under a pullover shirt (between them), but can become quite uncomfortable when worn directly against the skin as the ribbing will dig in.

I’ve used a dozen core/waste bands over the last year and a half and this band is “hands down the best!!!” The others were either to wide, or to thin, the fastener would not stay attached, they used rubber that made me sweat and cause skin irritation, the material was poor quality and would start wearing and lose form and fit in a short amount of time or were just to uncomfortable to wear for any length of time! This band is sturdy, breaths, the fastener is well made and does not lose it’s hold even when working out or performing other physical tasks and I can wear this over an under garment (tee shirt) and wear a Dress or casual shirt over it tucked in and bloused up slightly and it is not visible. I really like this one and highly recommend it to anyone who needs abdominal/core/Back support. In my opinion there are only (2) Cons: 1) The Hernia pad is too rigid and uncomfortable as well as being to deep, causing pain at the sight it is place upon. 2) It prints your skin somewhat but I didn’t feel that it was a problem because I wear mine pretty tight! *Those are the only Cons and neither one is a problem. I suggest not using the indent pad. The material is strong and flexible, and in my opinion it’s not necessary. If your on the fence about buying another waist support band for any reason, this one will not disappoint! Like I mentioned earlier I’ve tried quite a few and this by far has been the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing. Good luck! God bless you. Sincerely, -Bruce

I usually wear a Size L in briefs, so I ordered the L/XL. Unfortunately it was just too loose. Not snug enough. The S/M is a much better fit. Very comfortable. 10/28 I had to drop the rating from 5 stars down to 3 after 2 months of use. The velcro on the belt is no longer functioning. After using some new velcro to test with, I've determined that the "fuzzy" side is no longer fuzzy enough for the "tooth" side to grasp. I'm going to sew new velcro into the belt since it was very helpful.

Extra piece of mind after having a hernia following childbirth. Great quality and adjustable so it is supportive and comfortable.

Ok, I didn’t get this for a hernia. I got it because I wake up in severe pain, 3-4 times every night, due to a large belly pulling on my back. I don’t need judgmental replies about having a large belly, so please refrain. I have tried other belts and they are impossible to sleep in. This belt is skinny, which is exactly what I needed, and it is soft. There’s nothing that pokes or rubs or scratches against my skin, it stays put when I’m rolling over to my other side at night, and it COMPLETELY took away my lower back pain. I, the forever skeptic, have finally found something that works for me, and I’m genuinely surprised and happy and relieved and even though I hate typing out a review, I felt like I needed to for this product. I wish I could personally thank whoever designed it.

Better if fastener was wider or there were a number of different sections

Sitzt sehr gut unter dem Hemd. Benutze ich, um meine geprellte Rippen zu stabilisieren. Hält gut und hat mir wirklich geholfen, auf die Beine zu kommen.

Estoy muy contenta con la faja, tengo una hernia para operar pero de momento me han aconsejado perder peso y con esta faja no tengo las molestias propias que genera, es finita y no da mucho calor.. es lo que buscaba.. no sé lo que me durará porque llevo menos un mes con ella y genial... de todas formas por el precio si se me estropea me compraré otra.. la recomiendo

Prodotto ben rifinito, e soprattutto molto utile, allevia il dolore senza freare fastidio. Arrivato in tempi brevi ,imballato in modo perfetto.

Cómodo y me ayuda a proteger el comienzo de lo que parece ser una hernia abdominal. La utilizo sin problemas mientras hago ejercicio.
