These jugs are a bit smaller than I expected. A 5# bag of flour won't fit in them, but I can deal with that. I was a little disappointed that there were no labels included, but I have labels here and that worked out. What was odd was that I originally ordered two sets of two of these, only to be told that I could only order 1 set at a time. I just made an additional order for the other two so that I did receive four that I wanted. Just seemed strange. They did arrive all together, four in the box...go figure, LOL I like that they fit on my counter better and they are easy to handle and look quite nice on the counter. They are a little taller, but they still fit so that's not an issue. I DO like them a lot and today have ordered two more to finish out my mis-matched containers still left sitting on my counter. These are as sturdy as the ones I have been using. No dishwasher on these, but I washed the others by hand so that's ok too.

Since our state is subjected to severe bug infestations every year, I decided to redo my pantry and put just about everything in these gallon and smaller sized plastic cannisters. Not only did they keep things fresher, they created more space in my pantry. I made labels for each item to find it quickly. Made of heavier duty clear plastic with white screw on lids and a built in smaller side that functions to grip the cannister. They are so easy to use. I can't imagine not using these as my pantry has remained organized. It has been years for me since I first bought these cannisters and since then No bugs at all since then, no matter how bad "infestation " season. They come in all different sizes but I mostly use the gallon size. I store all sorts of food in them except any liquids. Also if there are any recipes or instructions on the original packaging that I might need, I cut it off the package and tape it to the back of the canister. I love these. As for the value. In the beginning I thought the price of each cannister was a bit overpriced , but after converting my pantry to them, I feel they were one of the best investments I have made

2 cups, I've read, is the recipe of epsom per standard tub for a bath (50-60 gal). When I pour from the bag, my guesstimating is all over the place and often the bag gets away and... significant loss! The solution is pre-filling these containers, which at 16oz are the perfect size and perfect quality for the task at hand. Re-filling tip: in a large sink, use a tall rubbermaid pitcher and pour from the bag into the pitcher. The pitcher allows a highly controlled pour into each container. Any pour from the bag is difficult to control, but with a pitcher you won't mess up or even lose a granule. And when the inevitable baseball size, or bigger, clump plops into the pitcher, pause and bust it up with a knife or large fork. These hold a pound of epsom each, so for a whole bag of amazon bulk you'll need 8 if you want to knock the bag out in one fill session.

I bought these for taking food in the cooler. Needed something at 32 oz size with a screw on top, not just a snap on lid. With the snap on lids, in the cooler, the ice melts and the containers tip over and leak, or water gets into them. With these, I feel assured that the food will be fine. Awesome for cold liquids, like soup or chili to heat up later. Perfect for homemade meals instead of pre-bought. Great for camping, picnics, or any kind of traveling with food. Easy to clean without a bottle brush because of the wide mouth. And since they're durable plastic, they will last, and you dont have to worry about breaking a glass container. Love these, I bought 2 packs. Its like a plastic Mason jar for togo food.

I use these containers to store processed brass for reloading. They are crystal clear, and you can easily see the contents. The one gallon square jug will hold about 1500 9mm brass. They are very sturdy, and I find that the thickness is perfect for my needs. Any thicker and you may want to step up to glass containers, which will be twice the cost. I wanted more than two, which is the maximum per order, but you can place more than one order for two. Their packaging and boxes are set up for two one gallon containers, which makes sense why two is the maximum per order. I will continue to purchase these 5 star rated containers and recommend them to anyone looking for larger storage needs. I do not use them for food storage so I cannot speak to their dependability there, but for non perishable goods they are ideal.

When I first looked at the containers my plan was to use the cute black labels and use white chalk like the trend seen everywhere. My new place has a large pantry with plenty of room for a pretty display of every day dry goods. Before I got the chance to put that plan into action...well I had a small infestation of pantry moths and in every article or blog post I read about abolishing the buggers removing all items, tossing all opened, then after cleaning everything (!) my dry goods should be put into plastic containers with a good seal. I couldn't order my gallon containers fast enough!! They are perfect for my needs. So perfect that I have to order more! Flour, sugar, single wrapped bars, chips, cookies, you name it..if it fits it's in a container now. Very convenient, contents remain fresh, and they look good. What more could I ask for?

I didn't add any liquids to this jar, so I can't guarantee they won't leak, but I do use these for a reward system in my classroom and they work great! They're clear, so my students can see the prizes in them and they're sturdy so when the kids drop them, there's no fuss or mess. Great purchase!
